Job Summary:

The Partner, Senior Wealth Advisor works in a client-focused, team-centered environment under the direction of one of the firm’s Executive Managing Directors to support the team’s region-wide business development and client service efforts. 

Essential Job Functions for the Sr. Director will include:

  • Manage a team of Wealth Advisors and Leaders
  • Collaborate with dedicated business development professionals to lead the buildout of the region through custodial referral channels and centers of influence 
  • Directly act as a senior community business development officer, responsible for personally generating new clients through client referrals and direct outreach in the local community (particularly focused on UHNW prospects)
  • Help identify and lead the cultural integration of acquired wealth management practices  
  • Opportunity to participate as a contributing member to regional and executive leadership teams through committees and strategic initiatives.  

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution (preferably Business, Economics, Accounting or Finance related); Master’s degree a plus

Experience:

  • Fifteen plus years of job-related experience

Certifications:

  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation; additional certifications Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC), Personal Financial Specialist (PFS), Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Chartered Investment Consultant (CIC), or Series 65 would be considered

Job Skills:

  • 15+ years of building relationships with and mentoring and managing wealth advisors; Guiding advisors to realize their potential, building culture, evaluating performance, recruiting advisors, ensuring clear and consistent communication
  • Direct experience as an advisor closing, onboarding, and serving higher AUM clients
  • Track record of success in helping advisors grow their practices in a client centric model; Creating an environment where high-touch client experience is the norm, leading to high rates of client retention, escalating and dealing with issues when necessary
  • Experience communicating the benefits of a wealth management platform to potential referral and M&A partners; Strategizing for growth, joining meetings to ensure deals are closed, telling the firm’s story, working with RVPs in the COI and and custodial referral channels, M&A sales process
  •  Negotiation experience that involves listening, persuading and developing mutually beneficial solutions
  • Strong knowledge of and the ability to present investment, finance, insurance, and tax planning concepts
  • Excellent Client Focus and client-oriented position, but sales aptitude and experience is also highly desired
  • Continually seeks to enhance job knowledge, learn quickly and efficiently
  • Must be a humble, entrepreneurial, hardworking team player with a positive “can do” attitude
  • Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; experience with Salesforce and financial planning software preferred
  • Technical and analytical training and experience in financial planning
  • Demonstrated flexibility, versatility, and ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines in a team environment
  • Ability to work without close supervision managing and prioritizing deliverables
  • Must be highly flexible and confidential with all matters
  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required for local and national client meetings; plus, to national educational trainings and seminars as needed for role

 

Work Schedule:   Business hours Monday through Friday, additional hours as required in an exempt and leadership role with the organization.

Working Conditions:  Professional office environment.  Working inside.  Standing and sitting.  Will be assigned to a work station.  Travel assumed at up to 50% of the time for client needs and/or required internal or external trainings.
