Merge is looking for a driven IT Support Engineer to grow their technical skills and gain hands-on experience in IT and security operations. If you’re someone who enjoys solving problems, supporting end-users, and learning about cybersecurity, this role is a great opportunity to develop your expertise in a fast-paced environment.
You’ll be the first point of contact for IT support, troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues while also getting exposure to security-related tasks such as access management, endpoint security, and vulnerability assessments.
What you will do:
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support for endpoints (Windows, macOS), office AV systems, and networking issues to ensure seamless operations.
- Patch Management: Assist in tracking, testing, and deploying software and OS updates to maintain system security and performance.
- MDM Management: Help manage and enforce policies for company devices through our Mobile Device Management (MDM) platform.
- IT Automation: Identify repetitive IT tasks and help automate them to improve efficiency and reduce manual effort.
- Endpoint Security: Assist with managing security tools such as endpoint protection, antivirus, and vulnerability scanning solutions.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Familiarity with Windows and macOS operating systems, including user management and basic system administration.
- Understanding of fundamental networking concepts (IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, VPNs, Wi-Fi troubleshooting).
- Interest in security best practices, such as patch management, endpoint protection, and access control.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
- A proactive mindset with a willingness to research and learn new technologies.
- Experience with IT automation (PowerShell, Bash, or scripting tools).
Compensation:
- The cash compensation range for this role is $80,000- $85,000
- Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all full time employees receive an equity compensation package.
