Software Engineer

We are hiring backend and full stack engineers at the senior level on the Experience Engineering team. The team is a full stack, product engineering team with a mission to make Merge’s powerful product feel seamless and intuitive to use. This team owns all customer-facing surfaces with the goal to deliver a reliable, developer-friendly, and cohesive experience across all of them.
- Participate in roadmapping and architecture discussions
- Produce high-quality, production-ready, readable, maintainable code
- Lead large projects from initial inception to production
- Unblock and support your team of peers including engineers, designers, product managers, and business operators
- Interact with customers to solve customer problems
- Build a best in class developer experience for Merge’s dashboard, docs, APIs and SDKs
- 5-8+ years of full-time software engineering experience
- Experience with frameworks (Django, Rails, Spring, React, Vue.js, Angular, etc.)
- Extensive knowledge of SQL databases (Postgres preferred)
- An ability to perform in a fast paced environment and deal with ambiguity
- Startup or SaaS experience preferred
- Experience with design systems, modern styling, and frontend testing practices a plus
- The cash compensation range for this role is $170,000 - $205,000
- Actual compensation packages are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, years & depth of experience, and certifications. In addition to cash compensation, all full time employees receive an equity compensation package
