As our Editor, you will...
Be part of a dynamic team responsible for supporting and collaborating with copywriters in presenting clear, concise, factually and grammatically correct copy to our clients. The Editor is assigned their own clients and is considered a brand expert who owns and enforces the nuances of their brands. They will also be involved in editorial, copyediting, and proofreading support for other departments when needed to review concepts, client presentation materials, and new business pitches/RFPs. The Editor ensures crucial quality control over our clients’ projects, across all stages of both traditional and digital media.
Be Accountable and Responsible
- Review material for grammar, spelling, punctuation, typos, and formatting
- Ensure style consistency (client-specific, brand, and campaign styles)
- Check content against original sources for quality control
- Verify correct implementation of client and legal changes
- Potentially manage freelancers related to your assigned brands
- Fastiduously maintain client and brand style guides to ensure guidelines are up to date
- Coordinate with Program Managers and the Editorial Trafficker to ensure adequate resources and time are available to complete daily work
- Collaborate closely with copywriters, finely honing relationships to mutually develop style guides that reflect client and regulatory/legal preferences
These are the qualifications we’re looking for
- At least 4 years of editing/copyediting copy
- Some ad agency experience, or experience in a similarly fast-paced environment, preferred
- Must be familiar with various types of style guides, including Associated Press and Chicago Manual of Style; American Medical Association style a plus
- High level of computer literacy; experience with digital routing systems is a plus, such as Adobe’s Workfront Proof
- Must be extremely detail-oriented, have excellent written and verbal skills, stay cool/calm under pressure, and manage deadlines without sacrificing quality

The salary range for this role is $64,000 - $75,000, based on the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
