As our Director, Digital Program Management, you will… 

Spearhead the strategic oversight of the digital project management team, ensuring their day-to-day operations align with organizational goals. You will lead recruitment and development initiatives while forecasting essential skills and resources for successful digital projects, including strategic website development and email marketing initiatives. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will enhance service delivery for clients and maintain project efficiency from planning through execution. Your role also involves regular reporting to senior management on resource utilization and profitability, alongside proactive problem-solving to uphold timelines, budgets, and quality standards across all projects.

Be Accountable and Responsible 

  • Directly manage Digital Project Managers, overseeing their day-to-day work and responsibilities
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, management, development, and growth of the digital project management team
  • Forecast and identify new skills and resources required for digital projects
  • Supervise Developers' workflow, task management, and project direction
  • Collaborate with Account Management and New Business teams on digital strategy for clients
  • Work with SVP, Program Management on project scopes and initial project plans
  • Ensure the flow and efficiency of work across the digital team, from project planning to maintenance
  • Report to senior management on overall resource planning and utilization
  • Provide weekly, quarterly, and yearly reports on various aspects of digital projects, including profitability and forecasting
  • Build and sustain relationships across the agency to facilitate adjustments to deliverables as needed
  • Alert the team if a project deviates from scope or set parameters
  • Lead contingency planning, problem resolution, and recommend solutions to maintain schedules, budgets, and quality
  • Manage freelance hours and costs for content development and external production
  • Develop, manage, and enforce a rigorous approvals process internally through production phases.
  • Oversee testing processes and quality standards on all projects
  • Keep the Department Director informed of project progress and development
  • Attend and actively participate in necessary weekly status meetings
  • Lead larger client accounts with multi-faceted projects and complex initiatives
  • Partner with client service leads on annual brand/tactical planning exercises
  • Provide insight on process improvements and opportunities for tools/resources
  • Ensure detailed records of digital projects are maintained, organized, and easily accessible
  • Onboard new hires on program management department overview and workflow tools
  • Train Program Management and other departments on agency processes
  • Attend monthly financial revenue/forecasting meetings
  • Provide oversight and approval on estimates from direct reports
  • Manage and mentor groups of Program Managers and Senior Program Managers
  • Lead client team staffing exercises and internal project status updates
  • Participate in client status meetings and communicate necessary scope changes for client services to execute

These are the qualifications we’re looking for 

  • 9-12 years of experience working in the development of large-scale websites, microsites, landing pages, and platforms with a strong understanding of the development lifecycle
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, and/or equivalent work experience
  • Prior experience leading and managing project management teams 
  • Familiarity with various digital channels, including website design through the build process, email marketing strategy, and email design
  • Experience using both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • An understanding of the marketing technology platforms (e.g. content management systems, digital experience platforms) as well as custom application development
  • Experience with content management systems like Sitecore, AEM, Joomla!, Drupal, or WordPress.
  • Strong Project Management skills - the ability to monitor and report on project status, budgets, schedules, and resource management
  • Understanding of user experience and web design best practices
  • Ability to communicate with all stakeholders across multiple levels and disciplines
  • Ability to work in an environment where change is constant and adapt accordingly
  • Experience managing multi-tier software development projects is a big plus

The salary range for this role is $112,000 - $134,000, based on the individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
