- Ensure all assets are properly cataloged with accurate metadata to maximize searchability and usability.
- Conduct quality control to validate metadata accuracy, file formats, and asset completeness.
Governance & Access Management
- Enforce DAM governance policies including version control, rights management, retention, and archival processes.
- Manage user groups, roles, and permissions to ensure proper access based on business needs.
- Monitor compliance with licensing, usage rights, and expiration dates for digital assets.
User Support & Training
- Provide day-to-day support for DAM users, resolving issues with uploads, searches, and downloads.
- Develop user guides, best practice documentation, and conduct training sessions for new and existing users.
- Act as the primary liaison between business teams, creative groups, and IT to support DAM adoption.
System Management & Optimization
- Maintain the DAM system by performing regular audits, cleanups, and archiving outdated or redundant content.
- Collaborate with IT, vendors, and platform administrators on system upgrades, integrations, and enhancements.
- Track and report on DAM usage, adoption, and effectiveness through analytics and KPIs.
Collaboration & Strategy
- Partner with creative, marketing, and business stakeholders to align DAM structure with content supply chain needs.
- Support campaign and product launches by ensuring assets are available, approved, and distributed on time.
- Contribute to long-term DAM strategy, including automation, AI/ML tagging, and integration with creative tools and downstream systems.
Who you are:
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science, Information Management, Digital Media, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of experience managing digital assets in a DAM system.
- Strong knowledge of metadata, taxonomy, information architecture, and digital file formats (images, video, audio, design files, documents).
- Familiarity with rights management, copyright, and brand compliance requirements.
