
Manager of Logistics and Operations
The Manager of Logistics & Operations will work closely with the Director of Logistics & Operations in managing the day-to-day operations of Merit. This role will coordinate and manage our international and domestic freight shipments in partnership with our contract manufacturers, freight forwarders, and our warehouses. This person will also oversee warehouse operations as well as B2B and D2C order fulfillment in addition to supporting our cross-functional teams in all things operations.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing International Freight – Air & Ocean (LCL/FCL) - quoting, booking, tracking, receiving order creation, inbound notifications, etc.
- Managing Road Freight (international and domestic) – LTL/FTL, quoting, booking, BOL creation, tracking, receiving orders and inbound notifications, etc.
- Managing EDI B2B order processing, including: reviewing stock availability, overseeing order flows, creating shipping documents, routing/pickup coordination, and reporting where necessary
- Warehouse management, including: monitoring order flow, inventory controls, inbound delivery coordination, receipts, process transfer orders between warehouses, and account and relationship management with warehouse team
- NetSuite transaction processing, including: sales orders, transfers, item receipts and fulfillments, inventory adjustments, etc.
- Maintaining internal trackers with multiple warehouses and manufacturers
- Internal team order processing and GWP management
- Maintaining detailed records and monthly reporting, including EOM and analysis
- Performing ad-hoc requests related to inventory updates and order fulfillment
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience in CPG operations or similar role; Beauty experience highly preferred
- Experience with EDI order processing (TrueCommerce), NetSuite (ERP), and Shopify (e-commerce platforms)
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Outlook), Google Suite Products
- Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to manage and prioritize tasks effectively
- An ability to collaborate well with others, with the ability to work autonomously and be self-directed
- An ability to operate with good judgement
- An ability to uncover and raise challenges or concerns, while bring forward suitable recommendations to solve
- A high attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
MERIT is proud to offer a comprehensive and competitive benefits package in addition to compensation. The annual salary for this role is $93,000 - $100,000, in addition to bonus potential, stock options, a 401(k) match, health benefits, paid time off and more.
