Position Description
Job Title: Security Operations Manager
Reports To: Chief Information Security Officer
FLSA Status: Exempt
Location: Shared Services Office, Irving, TX
Summary:
The Security Operations Manager leads Meriton’s internal Security Operations Center (SOC) team. This role will oversee daily security operations, manage our Security Information & Event Management (SIEM) platform, respond to managed SOC escalations, report security operations metrics to the CISO, and lead our cybersecurity awareness training program for end users.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
• Supervise Lead the internal SOC team in monitoring and responding to security alerts escalations from the managed SOC team.
• Manage and maintain the SIEM platform to ensure effective detection and incident response capabilities.
• Review and validate event reports and coordinate with relevant teams for remediation.
• Prepare and deliver regular security operations metrics and performance reports to the CISO.
• Lead the cybersecurity awareness training program for all end users of the Enterprise.
• Collaborate with HR to ensure training is integrated with other organizational training.
• Develop and implement cybersecurity awareness campaigns and educational materials.
• Track training completion rates and measure program effectiveness.
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide regular feedback to team members.
• Manage employee scheduling, work assignments, and resource allocation.
• Develop SOC processes and workflows to improve alert handling and response efficiency.
• Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics for team performance.
• Manage security operations budget and vendor relationships.
• Regular, consistent and necessary to meet the needs of the business
• Assists the leadership of the Security team and other team members with various research projects and/or special projects
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, or related field at minimum required.
• 5+ years of experience in security operations or management
• Professional certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or GIAC GSOM
• Experience with training program development and implementation
• Must be proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and Word

Salary ranges listed are dependent upon a candidate’s qualifications, experience, internal equity, and the budgeted amount for the specific role and location.
