The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Brand Marketing to create and scale the homeownership membership category. This individual will own our brand strategy, storytelling, and positioning, ensuring consistency and resonance with our target audience. As a member of the executive team, this person will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative marketing campaigns that drive growth, elevate brand awareness, and solidify our position as a category leader.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Category Creation: Help us design and execute a strategy to create the homeowner membership category, and position Mesa as the category leader.
  • PR and Corporate Communications: Drive PR strategy and manage relationships with external partners, media, and influencers to amplify brand reach.
  • Visual Design: Own the visual look and feel of the Mesa brand across any touchpoint, ensuring it reinforces our brand identity and evolves over time.
  • Agency Management: Source and manage 3rd party agencies that serve to create the homeowner membership category.
  • Brand Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that aligns with the company’s vision, goals, and target audience.
  • Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead the brand marketing team, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Positioning & Messaging: Define and refine the company’s brand positioning and messaging to ensure consistency and relevance across all touchpoints.
  • Campaign Development: Oversee the creation of high-impact marketing campaigns, from concept to execution, across digital, social media, content, and experiential marketing.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with product, partnerships, and other departments to ensure brand alignment and contribute to broader business goals.
  • Digital & Social Strategy: Lead digital and social media strategies, ensuring our online presence is strong, engaging, and continuously optimized for growth.
  • KPIs & Success Metrics: Set clear goals and KPIs, monitor the effectiveness of brand initiatives, and iterate on strategies based on data-driven insights.

Requirements

  • Proven experience (7-10+ years) in brand marketing, with a leadership role at a high-growth startup or fast-paced organization.
  • Experience building a new consumer category and brand from scratch.
  • Fintech, proptech, or homeowners as customer experience preferred.
  • Deep understanding of brand-building principles and strategies, including digital and social media landscapes.
  • Track record of successfully developing and scaling brand strategies that drive business growth.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and lead a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication, storytelling, and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to leverage data to inform marketing strategies and decisions.
  • A passion for innovation, creativity, and disruption in marketing.
