
Facilities Technician
FASCILITIES TECHNICIAN

We are seeking a Facilities Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve our facility systems. This is a hands-on role—you will keep the building and its infrastructure in the condition our production environment demands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs on facility systems including HVAC, electrical distribution, plumbing, compressed air, and exhaust systems
- Troubleshoot and repair facility equipment and building systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Maintain cleanroom environments to required standards, including monitoring and supporting air handling, filtration, and environmental controls
- Handle material receiving operations, organize facility material flow, and maintain inventory of maintenance supplies and spare parts
- Supervise and coordinate outside contractors during repairs, installations, and upgrades, ensuring safety protocols and facility standards are followed
- Perform electrical testing and diagnostics using multimeters, megohmmeters, and other test instruments
- Own the overall organization, cleanliness, and readiness of the manufacturing space, including common areas, utility rooms, and support infrastructure
- Identify and execute facility improvement projects with a focus on safety, efficiency, and operational reliability
- Respond to urgent facility issues and equipment breakdowns, providing first-line diagnosis and repair to minimize production downtime
- Maintain facility maintenance records, work orders, and equipment logs
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent certificate
- 2+ years of experience in facilities maintenance, building operations, or a manufacturing environment with hands-on mechanical and electrical skills
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting
- Experience with electrical testing and diagnostics, including use of multimeters and basic test instruments
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude across multiple trades (electrical, plumbing, HVAC, general building maintenance)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, working on feet for extended periods, and working in confined spaces
- Effective communication skills and ability to coordinate with engineering staff, production teams, and outside vendors
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
- Experience maintaining cleanroom or controlled-environment manufacturing facilities
- Forklift certification or experience with forklift and powered equipment operation
- Experience with CMMS software for work order tracking and preventive maintenance scheduling
- Experience supervising or coordinating maintenance contractors
- Familiarity with building management systems (BMS) and environmental monitoring
- Experience with industrial electrical systems (240V/480V three-phase)
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience in semiconductor, photonic, pharmaceutical, or other precision manufacturing facility environments
- Basic proficiency with hand and power tools across electrical, mechanical, and plumbing trades
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Facilities Technician: $26.00 - $38.00/per hour
Title and base salary are determined on a case by case basis commensurate with experience and merit.
In addition to base salary, compensation for this role includes:
