Ethan Yuanming Hu serves as the founder and CEO. About the role

We are seeking a talented and entrepreneurial Growth Engineer to join our team and drive Meshy's revenue forward. In this role, you will work at the intersection of engineering, product, and marketing to implement data-driven growth initiatives. As a Growth Engineer, you’ll leverage both frontend (Next.js) and backend (Go) technologies to build, test, and optimize features that directly impact our key growth metrics including user acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization.
 
Unlike traditional engineering roles that focus on building for longevity, you’ll be designing experiments and implementing solutions aimed at rapid learning and iterative improvements. You’ll be the technical backbone of our growth efforts, turning insights into actionable code that drives measurable business results.

What You’ll Do:

  • Design and implement technical growth experiments across our acquisition, activation, retention, and monetization funnels.
  • Build and maintain event tracking systems to capture and analyze user interactions within our platform.
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and data teams to identify growth opportunities and implement technical solutions.
  • Move quickly to validate or invalidate hypotheses with minimal viable implementations.
  • Monitor and analyze user behavior to inform product decisions and growth strategies.

What We're looking for:

  • 3+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on growth, product, or full-stack development.
  • Experience with Next.js, React, and modern frontend development practices.
  • Proficiency in backend development with Go and RESTful API design.
  • Experience implementing and analyzing A/B tests and growth experiments.
  • Strong understanding of event tracking, analytics, and data-driven decision making.
  • Experience with funnel optimization and conversion rate improvements.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a focus on metrics and measurable results.
  • Willingness to experiment and learn from both successes and failures.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience with data analysis tools and SQL.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with growth initiatives in SaaS businesses.
  • Knowledge of user acquisition strategies and marketing attribution models.
  • Experience implementing multi-touch attribution and marketing optimization.
  • Understanding of statistical significance and experiment design.
  • Experience with product analytics tools and data visualization.
  • Previous startup experience and comfort with fast-paced environments.
