Ethan Yuanming Hu serves as the founder and CEO. Ethan got his Ph.D. in graphics and AI from MIT, where he developed the Taichi GPU programming language (27K stars on GitHub, used by 300+ institutes). His Ph.D. thesis got a honorable mention of SIGGRAPH 2022 Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award and his research has been cited over 2700 times. his favorite animal is the llama.
What You’ll Do：
- Deeply involved in the entire product lifecycle for AI foundation model development, providing legal advice and risk assessments to ensure our products are launched and run in a compliant manner.
- Help build and refine a robust legal compliance system and governance framework to support our global market expansion.
- Draft and review a wide range of legal documents to support business growth.
- Handle the day-to-day management of company legal records and protect our corporate assets.
- Effectively manage external legal resources, coordinate with outside counsel, and respond quickly to any legal emergencies.
- Continuously monitor global regulations and governance trends to provide forward-looking and proactive legal strategies.
What We’re Looking For：
- Licensed to practice law in a major jurisdiction.
- 3+ years of relevant legal experience, ideally as in-house counsel at a tech company or with a top law firm.
- Strong knowledge of corporate and contract law. Experience in data privacy or intellectual property would be a strong plus.
- A strong sense of ownership and a genuine curiosity about emerging technologies and legal issues.
- Excellent learning agility and tech-savviness, able to quickly grasp complex AI concepts.
- Outstanding cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex legal matters.
