ABOUT THIS ROLE

Orchestra is seeking a Senior Analytics & Insights Specialist to be a critical component in the growth and development of our Strategic Insights team. This individual will be responsible for delivering quick-turn, high-impact insights and analysis to support crisis communications teams through monitoring and reporting efforts. While this reporting would be this role's priority focus, they will also contribute to broader analytics initiatives across Orchestra.

We are looking for someone with a strong background in crisis monitoring, media analysis, and strategic insights, who thrives in fast-paced environments and can quickly synthesize information to inform decision-making. In addition to crisis-related work, this person will have the opportunity to contribute to integrated projects and play a crucial role in documenting and refining internal processes. This person is curious, proactive, and passionate about the power of data in shaping strategy in key moments. They should also be comfortable working with diverse data sets, including search data, paid data, and other digital performance metrics.

Role location: This role may be remote in the U.S. on Eastern Time or based in either our New York, N.Y. or Washington, D.C. offices on a hybrid basis.

 

ACCOUNTABILITIES & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Serve as a critical member of a growing strategic insights team, delivering timely and actionable insights to a diverse range of clients
  • Support and deliver crisis monitoring efforts, including media intelligence and analysis reports that identify emerging trends, risks, and opportunities 
  • Nimbly execute research projects, including desk research, taxonomy design, media analysis, and issue tracking to provide actionable insights
  • Lead the production of client-facing reports and analysis for clients & interagency stakeholders to support data-backed findings and strategic recommendations
  • Assist in business development and growth by working with an interagency team to inform our proposal strategy and ongoing client analytics deliverables
  • Create documentation of internal methodologies, enhancements to processes, and develop best practices across analytics workstreams
  • Work closely across the strategic insights team to execute data strategies (e.g. metric definitions, data capture, visualization, storytelling, etc.)
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, tools, and emerging methodologies to enhance the team’s capabilities

Essential skills:

  • 4+ years of experience in insights, analytics, or media intelligence, with demonstrated career progression
  • Expertise in crisis monitoring (including earned and social media monitoring) across a variety of clientele, preferably in an agency or fast-moving corporate environment
  • Tried-and-true ability to distill large volumes of data into clear, concise insights that drive decision-making
  • Strong communication skills and a builder mentality, feeding a culture of collaboration and teamwork across organizational boundaries: ability to support asks across the larger Orchestra Holding Company community
  • Strong data visualization skills and experience producing executive-ready reporting
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and adapt quickly to evolving priorities
  • Experience with key analytics and monitoring tools, including but not limited to:
    • Owned: Google Analytics, Hootsuite
    • Earned: Brandwatch, Talkwalker, Netbase, Meltwater, Cision, Muck Rack, Tubular, Statista
    • Social: Sprout Social
    • SEO & Search Intelligence: Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs
    • Paid Data & Digital Performance: Google Ads, Meta Ads Manager
    • Dashboarding: Google Looker Studio, Databox, Tableau (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work independently and clearly communicate with project managers
  • Previous experience working with a wide range of clients across industries in a fast-paced agency or consulting environment

 

WORKING AT ORCHESTRA

Salary range (commensurate with experience and skills): $80,000-$95,000
