We are seeking an HR Operations Senior Specialist to join our team and play a key role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of employee records across multiple systems. In this position, you will manage data updates for new hires, transfers, job and compensation changes, and terminations while working closely with the HR team and cross-functional leaders to deliver exceptional HR service. Your contributions will help enhance the overall employee experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role is based on-site in Emeryville, California.
What You’ll Do:
- Ensure the accuracy and integrity of employee records, managing data updates such as new hires, transfers, job and compensation changes, and terminations. You will also create and maintain HR reports and dashboards.
- Coordinate the onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks, document management, employment verification, benefits enrollment, and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Provide recruitment support by scheduling interviews and managing the preparation and delivery of offer letters to candidates.
- Collaborate with the Payroll team and vendors to ensure accurate processing of new hire information, benefit deductions, job changes, and terminations.
- Act as the first point of contact for employee relations inquiries, providing guidance on HR policies and procedures and escalating more complex issues to the appropriate HR experts.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, conducting audits and reviews to address potential risks, and managing updates to policies, procedures, and key controls.
- Support HR initiatives and projects, including process improvements and system implementations.
- Oversee employee benefits administration, ensuring accurate execution during open enrollment and throughout the year, covering health insurance, retirement plans, and wellness programs.
Must Haves:
- Undergraduate degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, preferred. - Minimum of 5+ years of industry experience in HR Operations (biotech preferred).
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, data management tools, and HR/Payroll systems such as: BambooHR, Greenhouse, ADP or equivalent.
- Experience with various HR functions including, recruitment, performance management, and learning and development.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Suite applications.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
California Pay Transparency Disclosure:
Under the Federal Labor Standards Act (FLSA) this position is classified as non-exempt. The anticipated hourly rate for this position will be $54.00 to $62.00. Please note the final hourly rate will be determined at the Company's sole discretion and may vary based on a variety of factors, including skill level, years and depth of relevant experience, education, and location.
