Staff Engineer - AI

Atlanta, Charlotte, Denver, New York, Remote - US, Canada

Method is a global design and engineering consultancy founded in 1999. We believe that innovation should be meaningful, beautiful and human. We craft practical, powerful digital experiences that improve lives and transform businesses. Our teams [based in New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, London, Bengaluru, and remote] work with a wide range of organizations in many industries, including Healthcare, Financial Services, Retail, Automotive, Aviation, and Professional Services.

Method is part of GlobalLogic, a digital product engineering company. GlobalLogic integrates experience design and complex engineering to help our clients imagine what’s possible and accelerate their transition into tomorrow’s digital businesses. GlobalLogic is a Hitachi Group Company.

We are seeking a highly experienced and versatile Staff Full-Stack Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this critical role, you will design, develop, and deploy end-to-end applications incorporating sophisticated AI agents capable of complex reasoning, planning, and autonomous action. You will build intuitive user interfaces for interacting with these agents, develop robust backend APIs and systems to power them, and architect scalable solutions across the entire stack. You will tackle ambiguous problems, provide technical leadership across front-end, back-end, and AI components, mentor other engineers, and help shape the technical direction for our agentic AI initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to apply your full-stack expertise to the forefront of AI development.

Travel for team and client meetings is required, typically up to 15%.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead Full-Stack Architecture & Design: Design and architect scalable, robust, and maintainable end-to-end systems for developing, deploying, and interacting with AI agents. Define front-end components, APIs, backend services, data models, and infrastructure needs.
  • Develop Agent-Facing User Interfaces: Build intuitive, responsive, and engaging web interfaces (UIs) for users to interact with, configure, and monitor AI agents. Translate complex AI interactions into user-friendly experiences.
  • Develop Backend Systems & APIs: Implement robust backend services, APIs (e.g., RESTful, GraphQL), and data persistence layers to support agent functionality, manage agent state, and integrate with other systems.
  • Develop Core Agent Capabilities: Implement and integrate core algorithms and infrastructure for agent perception, reasoning (leveraging LLMs), planning, decision-making, and tool usage within the full-stack context. Evaluate and leverage existing agentic frameworks where appropriate.
  • LLM Integration & Optimization: Work extensively with LLMs (e.g., model selection, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG) and integrate them effectively within the backend services and potentially front-end interactions.
  • Evaluation & Monitoring: Design and implement frameworks and dashboards for evaluating and monitoring agent performance, system health, and user interactions across the full stack.
  • Technical Leadership & Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship across the full stack (front-end, back-end, AI integration). Foster best practices in software development, system design, testing, and deployment.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, UX/UI designers, researchers, data scientists, and other engineering teams to deliver cohesive and impactful AI solutions.
  • Drive Technical Excellence: Champion high standards for code quality, testing (unit, integration, end-to-end), performance, security, observability, and operational excellence across the full technology stack.

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of professional software development experience, with a significant focus on full-stack development (both front-end and back-end).
  • Proven track record of designing, building, and deploying complex, scalable web applications.
  • Strong proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, and modern frameworks/libraries (e.g., React, Angular, Vue.js).
  • Strong proficiency in back-end development using languages like Python (preferred for AI integration), Node.js, Java, Go, or similar.
  • Experience designing and implementing APIs (REST, GraphQL) and working with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL).
  • Experience building and deploying machine learning models or AI-driven features in production environments.
  • Solid understanding of AI/ML fundamentals, including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Large Language Models (LLMs).
  • Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, and driving complex projects.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, system design thinking (across the stack), and ability to navigate ambiguity.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
