Job Description
This position is a mid-career Contracts Administrator who will represent the organization as a primary administrative contact and will be responsible for supporting the management of Government contracts and subcontracts. Areas of responsibility encompass full contract lifecycle support for both contracts and subcontracts. This includes pre-award planning, proposal preparation, contract negotiation, performance, and closeout. This role ensures compliance, minimizes risk, and optimizes contract performance.
- Reviews bids and proposals to ensure they meet company policy and customer solicitation requirements.
- Identifies contract issues and provides leadership in developing solutions.
- Participates in and may lead negotiating and modifying standard and non-standard contracts and subcontracts.
- Identifying export classification and foreign rules and restrictions
- Reviews, drafts as necessary, and negotiates terms and conditions of non-disclosure, teaming, license, and memorandum of understanding agreements.
- Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of terms and conditions.
- Maintains, analyzes, updates, and develops various electronic and hard copy records.
- Acts as contact with customers and outside organizations.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Additional duties as assigned or required.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with full life cycle contract management for CPFF, FFP, and T&M government contracts with RFP/RFI review experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills to accurately document and report findings to a variety of audiences
- Excellent interpersonal skills to influence and guide employees, managers, customers and other external parties
- Excellent computer skills to include advanced proficiency with standard MS Office applications.
- Ability to work independently or in a team environment is essential as is the ability to work extended hours and travel if required (less than 10%).
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with an emphasis in contract administration or a related discipline, or commensurate experience
- Five+ years of professional experience in Government contract administration.
- Familiarity with any Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool, such as TechnoMile
- Familiarity with Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR) and Certified Cost or Pricing Data
Position Location: Reston, VA (in-office position at our Corporate HQ in the Reston Town Center)
