About the Role
Metronome is seeking a dynamic Strategic Finance Leader to play a pivotal role in identifying and capitalizing on opportunities that drive our business forward. As a key member of our Finance Team, you will collaborate cross-functionally with leadership, product, and go-to-market (GTM) to spearhead high-priority initiatives encompassing revenue growth, market expansion, product strategy, cost optimization, and pricing. This role is ideal for a top-performing professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and demonstrates extreme ownership in diagnosing challenges, analyzing solutions, and driving impactful implementations.
What You'll Do
- Leverage advanced data analytics to source, structure, and analyze key datasets, ensuring reliable forecasts, actionable KPIs, and informed decision-making.
- Track and report on infrastructure cost performance, providing actionable insights to improve margins, and reduce COGS spending while maintaining product and service quality.
- Work closely with product and GTM teams to design scalable pricing structures tailored to diverse customer segments, ensuring alignment with company growth objectives.
- Conduct data-driven experiments and market tests to optimize pricing models and improve customer lifetime value.
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and customer segmentation studies to identify strategic growth opportunities and support key initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to build analytical frameworks that support decision-making on revenue growth, resource allocation, and performance optimization.
Qualifications
- 4+ years in strategic finance, investment banking, consulting, or similar roles within high-growth technology and SaaS environments.
- Proven experience in financial modeling, pricing strategy, cost analysis, and performance reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and SQL; strong ability to analyze large datasets and extract actionable insights.
- Exceptional quantitative and qualitative analytical skills, with expertise in building and executing data-driven strategies.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with a strong ability to translate data into clear, impactful narratives.
- A self-starter who thrives on ownership and has a bias toward action, even in ambiguous or fast-changing environments.
- Comfortable tackling open-ended, complex questions and iterating quickly on solutions.
- Collaborative and adept at building strong relationships with cross-functional teams.
Bonus Points
- Experience at high-growth startups, or prior in B2B infrastructure SaaS.
- A background in designing pricing experiments or conducting customer research on pricing and product-market fit.

- Own the full lifecycle of strategic projects, from initial exploration and data analysis to execution and retrospective review.
