Senior Director, Treasury Operations

Los Angeles, California, United States

Who we are

The real world is the next frontier, and at Metropolis, we are creating the artificial intelligence to make it responsive. We are pioneering the Recognition Economy — a future where mundane repetition disappears and being known unlocks access, comfort, and belonging everywhere you go. From transforming parking into a seamless drive-in, drive-out experience for millions of Members to expanding our intelligence layer across retail and hospitality, we are building a world that feels instinctive and magical. The future isn’t coming; it’s here, and we need builders, innovators, and problem solvers to help us create it.

Who you are

Metropolis is seeking a Senior Director of Treasury Operations to lead a strategic post-acquisition integration, stabilization, and infrastructure turnaround mandate across our expanding footprint. In this high-visibility leadership role, you will bridge legacy environments, unintegrated banking setups, and modern treasury architecture to build scalable liquidity controls and financial integrity across the enterprise. Partnering closely with Shared Services, Accounting, and executive leadership, you will direct cross-functional efforts across Treasury, AP, and Procurement to rationalize banking networks, institute rigorous 13-week cash forecasting, and establish a foundation for a modern Treasury Management System. You are a battle-tested turnaround operator and builder who combines hands-on execution with strategic vision, serving as a trusted advisor to the CFO and strengthening key banking syndicate relationships as Metropolis scales.

What you'll do

  • Partner with Shared Services and Accounting to stabilize disbursements and working capital across legacy and acquired entities, remediating subledger-to-GL reconciliation backlogs and establishing operational control
  • Audit vendor payment terms, transition manual flows to streamlined ACH and virtual card platforms, and optimize Days Payable Outstanding while protecting supplier trust
  • Institute disciplined procurement controls across decentralized operations to curb unapproved spend and sequence capital outlays against daily liquidity
  • Rationalize bank account proliferation and legacy sweep structures into a simplified, automated cash concentration network
  • Build and maintain a robust 13-week rolling cash forecast to navigate post-acquisition liquidity cycles and actively manage revolver utilization
  • Drive daily multi-entity cash positioning to maximize short-term yield and eliminate redundant banking fees
  • Oversee flawless execution of debt instruments, amortization schedules, financing leases, interest payments, and strict debt covenant compliance
  • Execute interest rate and FX hedging strategies while serving as a primary operational liaison to our banking syndicate
  • Lead the migration from fragmented legacy platforms to a modern Treasury Management System, establishing automated subledger-to-GL posting routines and standardized bank interface protocols
  • Audit and optimize merchant processing fees and interchange rates across large-scale payment volumes while mentoring and developing a high-performing treasury operations team

What we're looking for

  • 8+ years of progressive leadership experience in Corporate Treasury, Cash Operations, and Post-M&A Integration or Turnaround Mandates, with direct oversight or coordination of AP and Procurement
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
  • Experience in highly-levered or complex multi-entity corporate environments managing daily cash positioning, sweeps, and debt compliance inputs
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience implementing Treasury Management Systems and integrating TMS platforms with ERP systems
  • Proven track record of rationalizing multi-entity banking structures, optimizing ZBA sweep hierarchies, and enforcing internal controls across disbursements and wire releases
  • Direct experience managing multi-tenant, client-dedicated, or fiduciary bank account structures alongside complex sweep architectures
  • Strong forensic mindset with willingness to lead granular bank account cleanup, transaction mapping, wire release controls, and bank fee rationalization alongside system design
  • Proven success leading post-acquisition operational remediation, untangling legacy infrastructure, and defining clear subledger-to-GL accounting boundaries
  • Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to manage banking syndicates, drive cross-functional alignment, and lead operational teams
  • Experience leveraging AI tools to transform static workflows into responsive, high-output processes

While not required, these are a plus:

  • MBA
  • CPA or CTP license
