
Payroll & Benefits Analyst

We are looking for a Payroll& Benefits Analyst responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and the administration of employee benefits programs. This dual role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage confidential information across both functions.
You will own the full lifecycle of payroll and benefits administration, requiring a high degree of discretion and technical proficiency.
What You'll Focus On
Payroll Processing and Administration
- Process multi-state, multi-frequency payroll for all employees using Paychex Flex.
- Review and verify timecards, expense reports, and other payroll documents for accuracy.
- Manage employee data changes, including new hires, terminations, rate changes, and deductions.
- Calculate and process special payroll runs, such as bonuses, commissions, and severance.
Benefits Administration
- Administer and manage all employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, 401(k), and disability.
- Coordinate the annual Open Enrollment process, including system setup and vendor management.
- Serve as the primary contact for employees regarding benefits questions and issues.
- Process monthly benefits billing reconciliation and ensure timely payment to vendors.
Compliance, Reporting & Analysis
- Ensure strict adherence to payroll tax laws, FMLA, COBRA, ACA, and other benefits-related regulations.
- Analyze payroll and benefits data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
- Prepare detailed reports on payroll expenditures, tax liabilities, and benefits utilization.
- Perform regular reconciliation of payroll general ledger and benefits-related accounts.
Who You Are
- 3+ years of combined experience in payroll and benefits administration required.
- Experience with Paychex Flex is desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets (e.g., VLOOKUPS, pivot tables).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Human Resources is preferred.
- CPP or CEBS certification is highly desirable.

Compensation for this role varies based on years of experience, skill set, and alignment with position requirements.
Compensation:
$70,000 - $75,000 USD
