Role Purpose:
The Material Handler is a vital role within our warehouse operations, responsible for the accurate handling, building, and shipping of customer orders, as well as the precise movement and storage of raw materials and finished goods. This position ensures that the warehouse remains clean, organized, and fully functional to support accurate inventory, streamline workflow, and maintain proper stock rotation.
Responsibilities:
Order Fulfillment and Shipping:
- Accurately pick and load customer orders.
- Complete all picking tickets, bills of lading (BOLs), and other shipping documents correctly.
Inventory and Stock Management:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Fill picking lanes with finished goods and organize materials using FIFO (First-In-First-Out) for stock rotation.
Receiving and Storage:
- Correctly receive and verify inbound loads against purchase orders.
- Store raw materials and finished goods accurately and efficiently.
Warehouse Maintenance:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Ensure all equipment and storage areas are in good working order.
Qualifications:
- 2+ year of warehouse experience
- Current or previous forklift certification
- Problem solving skills
- Organizational skills
- Must have attention to detail and good written communication skills
- Must be able to work effectively in a multi-tasking work environment.
Preferred
- 3+ years of warehouse experience
- Knowledge of multi- mode loading/unloading
- RF/handheld experience
- Knowledge of bin/lot locations and warehouse organization
Work Environment:
- Manufacturing work environment – must be able to work in a range of temperatures and humidity (heat and cold)
- Ability to work around heavy equipment and product machinery
- Some lifting and moving product and or equipment (50lbs)
- Ability to work extended hours as needed
- Function in environment that requires bending, stooping, standing, lifting, and climbing stairs.
Pay Range
$21.50 - $22.05 USD
