
Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst - Accounting will assist the Company’s Accounting team by maintaining good standing and compliance of its multifamily debt portfolio, help coordinate timely lender controlled impound draws, work directly with senior management in preparing company and department budgets, other related tasks that may be required in the transaction process for acquisitions, dispositions and loan financings as necessary.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Construct and operate detailed, complicated financial models in Excel related to servicing the Company’s debt portfolio
- Provide lender requested documentation related to the debt portfolio
- Review internal and external loan documents before submissions to ensure accuracy
- Answer questions pertaining to all areas of loan servicing including payment research, taxes, and insurance
- Work with various departments and teams to ensure proper and accurate draw submissions
- Ensure all debt procedures follow government regulations and company policies
- Assist in preparation of acquisition, disposition, and refinance of debt
- Assist with post-acquisition accounting integration
- Work with senior management on preparing Corporate Departmental budgets and other internal performance metrics
- Maintain weekly dashboards of principal advancements
- May assist other Company departments members as necessary depending on project demands
Qualifications
- 1 to 3 years of experience in a real estate accounting position, with direct exposure and communication with lenders and lender servicers
- Previous experience with multifamily or property management preferred
- Must have demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of MS Office system computer software
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related field
- Completion of education/training in related real estate industry courses preferred
Additional Skills, Abilities, and Characteristics Required:
- Excellent computer skills with an expert level knowledge of Excel and advanced working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management software
- Solid understanding of lender reporting requirements and draw processes
- Interest in organizing, prioritizing, and leading multiple priorities, using critical thinking and problem solving
- Highly analytical thinking with demonstrated talent for identifying, improving and streamlining complex work processes
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Collaborative working style with inclusive work and thinking behaviors, commitment to excellence in teams and work product, with a strong work ethic
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion
Compensation and Benefits
- $68,640-$72,800 annually DOE
