We are looking for an IT Director to join our team. The IT Director plays a pivotal role in shaping and maintaining the technological backbone of MG Properties. This individual is responsible for overseeing all aspects of information technology, ensuring the security and reliability of systems, and enabling the business’s growth by implementing innovative tech solutions tailored for the fast-paced real estate industry. The IT Director works closely with outsourced IT team,  internal teams, and executive leadership to align IT strategy with the company’s goals and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • IT Strategy & Planning: Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company’s vision, operations, and expansion plans. Continuously assess emerging technologies to recommend enhancements that improve efficiency, client experiences, and competitive advantage.
  • Systems Management: Oversee the installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of all IT hardware and software systems, including property management software, CRM systems, cloud storage, communication platforms, and business intelligence tools.
  • Network Administration: Manage the company’s local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and wireless networks across all branches and remote offices. Ensure optimal performance, uptime, and scalability to support a growing workforce and client base.
  • Data Security & Privacy: Develop and enforce robust cybersecurity measures to protect sensitive client data, property records, financial information, and corporate intellectual property. Lead initiatives for data encryption, backup, disaster recovery, and compliance with privacy regulations (such as GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
  • Technical Support: Lead the IT support team in providing timely and effective assistance to end-users, resolving hardware, software, and connectivity issues. Establish efficient help desk processes and maintain a high level of user satisfaction.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with technology vendors, service providers, and consultants. Negotiate contracts and ensure service level agreements (SLAs) are met.
  • Project Management: Plan and execute IT projects, such as system upgrades, migrations, new software rollouts, and office expansions. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to minimize disruptions and deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control: Prepare and manage the IT department’s annual budget. Monitor expenditures, seek cost-effective solutions, and justify technology investments with clear ROI analysis.
  • Training & Development: Design and deliver IT training sessions for staff to promote digital literacy, cybersecurity awareness, and effective adoption of new tools and processes.
  • Policy Development: Draft, implement, and update IT policies, procedures, and best practices. Ensure compliance with internal controls as well as industry standards and legal requirements.
  • Innovation: Identify and champion new technologies and digital solutions that streamline real estate operations, improve property marketing, enhance client portals, and enable remote collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive IT experience, with at least 2 years in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, CISSP, CCNA, MCSE) preferred.
  • Proven experience managing IT systems, networks, and infrastructure in a real estate or property management environment is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of real estate business processes, including property listing platforms, CRM, MLS integration, data management, and virtual tour technologies.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity standards, data privacy regulations, and compliance frameworks relevant to the real estate sector.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and IT budgeting.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate teams and drive change.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience with cloud computing, SaaS solutions, remote work tools, and mobile technology is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $160,000-$175,000 annually
