
Senior Human Resources Generalist

We are seeking an HR Generalist to support our team by managing a wide range of Human Resources functions across multiple states, with a particular focus on employee relations, employee experience initiatives, leaves of absence requests, and workplace accommodations. This position will also oversee a team of HR professionals to ensure the effective and consistent execution of HR processes. Operating independently, the role is responsible for delivering strategic recommendations, conducting comprehensive investigations, and advising leadership on issues related to performance, conduct, and compliance. As the primary contact for escalated workplace concerns, the individual will work closely with HR Generalists and Operations leaders throughout various states to ensure consistent and compliant resolutions.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Partner with employees and management to communicate and ensure consistent implementation of company wide HR policies, procedures, state and federal laws and other government regulations.
- Serve as a senior human resources advisor across all regions and issues guidance and support in all areas of human resources functions.
- Work collaboratively with HR team to improve overall operations.
- Develop and analyze report trends and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay updated on legal requirements for daily employee management in all states.
- Lead and provide support to HR projects initiatives as assigned.
- Supervise assigned HR team members.
- Set job expectations, review staff performance annually, handle corrective actions as needed, and approve timecards.
- Recommend, develop, and update HR policies and procedures related to employee relations, investigations to drive a consistent approach across assigned regions.
- Respond to and investigate employee relations issues such as employee concerns, by conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations and documentation.
- Assist employees and management in settlement of work-related conflicts through advice, recommendations, and Implement disciplinary action and documentation as needed.
- Manage full cycle recruitment process for assigned regions.
- Ensure timely and accurate opening of position requisitions, job postings, review of candidate qualifications.
- Partner with VP of HR to facilitate the process and communication timelines for performance and compensation reviews.
- Administer workers' compensation claims and follow up when needed and in absence of Benefits Manager.
- Manage leaves of absence, eg., FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL, ADA, and other state specific leaves.
California pay range
$105,000 - $115,000 USD
