Sr. Technical Product Manager
About MGT Insurance
MGT is the first AI-driven, neo-insurer focused on evolving commercial P&C insurance for the brokers and small business owners. By combining the expertise of industry veterans with state-of-the-art technology, we are ushering in the next evolution of commercial insurance and working to move the industry forward through the use of modern technology, better processes, and a rock-star team. We seek visionary leaders who thrive in dynamic, entrepreneurial settings, and excel in autonomous roles.
We're hiring a Senior Technical Product Manager to build and operate our vertical AI product surface at MGT that our brokers, insureds, and internal teams use every day. This is not a roadmap-and-jira role – product and engineering lanes are merging. Product talent at MGT operates fluidly across product strategy, data, design, and engineering. You will set the vision, sharpen the bet, ship the wedge, and then drive operational excellence on top of it.
TPMs that succeed at MGT embrace their responsibility for end-to-end execution and lean into MGTs comparative advantage - agility. You'll write specs that read like product memos, sketch flows when a sketch is faster than a doc, query the warehouse when a query is faster than a meeting, and prototype with AI tools when a working artifact is more persuasive than a deck. You actively contribute code to your projects.
Key responsibilities
0-to-1 Product Leadership: Define, build, and drive adoption of AI-native commercial insurance products, delivering tools that let us scale efficiently.AI-first strategy: Translate traditional insurance workflows into agent systems. Make crisp tradeoffs between model capability, build vs. rent decisions, and long term unit economics.Hands-On Building: Deliver software with modern AI tooling, pull your own data, build prototypes, ship code. Writing clarifies our thinking but working artifacts orient teams. When it's time to build you write code alongside the engineering team.Execution excellence: Set a high product bar. Work side by side with your internal and external customers to spot undervalued capabilities, kill weak features fast, and defend the experiences that matter.
Qualifications
Compelling storytelling skills. Product is becoming increasingly technical but the bedrock of the role are communication skills that drive teams forward.Experience building AI systems. You've led a team that built an AI-enabled system beyond a simple chat bot and can speak fluently about successes and pitfalls taking it to market.Strong technical literacy. You actively contribute to your team’s codebase, get your own data, and are equally comfortable whiteboarding systems or talking unit economics.Growth stage experience. MGT is a small high accountability organization and that's a plus for you.References from a peer department managers (Engineering, GTM, etc) that loved working with you.

What We Offer
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
