Accounting Associate

We’re looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Associate to join our team and support the daily operations of our accounting department. In this role, you’ll play a key part in ensuring the accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.

Here’s what you’ll do:

• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounting records, including ledgers and journals, in accordance with applicable accounting standards and regulations
• Manage accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) processes, including invoice processing, payments, and collections
• Calculating and processing employee travel expenses
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities
• Ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations and assisting with the preparation and filing of tax returns
• Utilizing accounting software and digital tools to ensure data integrity and support accurate financial reporting and analysis
• Preparing and submitting reports to the Croatian Bureau of Statistics, the Croatian National Bank, and other relevant government agencies

You'll be successful in this role if you:

• Have an accounting background with 3+ years of experience in a respective field
• Have formal education in Accounting
• Have strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, proficiency in accounting software, and advanced Excel skills
• Have Intermediate English proficiency for everyday communication, both written and verbal
• Are a detail-oriented problem solver
• Have strong teamwork skills and ability to cooperate with multiple business functions
• Have excellent analytical and organizational skills

A plus is if you also have:

• experience working in a global environment within technology company
• experience with Pantheon software
