As a Patient Service Representative - Billing, you’ll have a direct impact on the patient experience by ensuring seamless communication and resolution of billing-related issues. Your expertise in handling insurance inquiries, billing questions, and discrepancies will improve patient satisfaction, streamline billing processes, and contribute to a smoother overall experience. By ensuring accurate billing and providing clear financial guidance, you’ll help foster trust and confidence in our services, ultimately supporting the growth and success of Midi Health.

What you will need to succeed: 🌱

  • Experience in Patient Service: 2-5 years of providing exceptional patient support and customer service.
  • Billing Expertise: 1-2 years of billing experience (preferred), with a strong understanding of insurance processes and patient financial obligations.
  • Tech-Savvy: 2 years of experience using Zendesk and Athenahealth, as well as familiarity with Google Workplace for daily operations.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively resolve patient inquiries and explain complex billing information clearly.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to participate in audits and detect billing discrepancies or trends, and collaborate cross-functionally to optimize billing processes.
  • Privacy & Compliance: A commitment to adhering to organizational, local, state, and federal regulations, safeguarding Protected Health Information (PHI) to ensure patient privacy and safety.
  • Collaborative Team Member: Ability to work with clinical teams to verify insurance coverage, assist with appointment scheduling, and update Electronic Health Records (EHR).
  • Professionalism Under Pressure: Ability to maintain calm and professionalism while handling patient inquiries and competing priorities in a fast-paced, remote environment.
