Business Systems Analyst
The Business Systems Analyst partners with business stakeholders to document end-to-end processes, elicit and translate requirements, and support the selection, configuration, testing, and adoption of SaaS solutions that deliver measurable business outcomes. The role emphasizes rigorous discovery, clear documentation, and hands-on enablement across the solution lifecycle, focusing on commercially available SaaS platforms rather than custom software development. The position serves as a bridge between business needs and technology teams/vendors, ensuring requirements are traceable through testing and deployment to achieve value realization.
Responsibilities:
- Business Process Requirements Analysis: Lead discovery and documentation efforts by facilitating workshops and interviews, capturing current-state processes, and producing traceable requirements—including process maps, user stories, and RFP inputs—aligned with business goals and compliance standards.
- SaaS Solution Selection Implementation: Conduct fit-gap analyses and coordinate vendor demos to assess SaaS solutions for usability, data needs, and configuration feasibility, while capturing stakeholder feedback and contributing to evaluation and cost inputs. Collaborate on implementation activities, including configuration workbooks, data validation, and go-live readiness, ensuring alignment with standards and contingency planning.
- Solution Design Integration: Define and document business data and integration requirements, partner with IT on integration patterns, and support data migration and cross-system process clarity through diagrams, transformation rules, and validation activities.
- Change Management Training: Create user-focused documentation and training materials, drive stakeholder engagement for adoption, and provide post-go-live support by resolving issues and ensuring operational readiness.
- Continuous Improvement Best Practices: Monitor solution performance and manage enhancements, coordinate testing for system updates, and contribute to standards for requirements, configuration governance, and process digitization.
- Stakeholder Vendor Management: Act as a liaison across business users, the Business Solutions Leader, IT, and vendors to clarify requirements, manage RAID logs, document decisions, and validate vendor deliverables against acceptance criteria during solution selection and implementation.
Qualifications:
- Skilled in process mapping, requirements gathering, and user story development.
- Experience with RFPs, vendor selection, SaaS implementation, and UAT.
- Familiar with integrations, data migration, and security/compliance considerations.
- Strong communication, facilitation, collaboration, and stakeholder engagement.
- Proficient in fit-gap analysis, configuration support, and change enablement.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in business, Information Systems, or related field; equivalent experience considered.
- 3–5 years of experience in business systems analysis or closely related roles within SaaS-centric environments.
