Job Summary
Millennium Space Systems, a Boeing Company, is seeking a Software Engineer with deep LabVIEW expertise to join our Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) team. In this role, you’ll design and develop software that powers test systems, Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) setups, and custom electrical test equipment used to validate spacecraft hardware.
This position is ideal for engineers who thrive in a hands-on test environment and have professional experience developing with National Instruments tools plus fluency with software development best practices, including source control, issue tracking, and continuous integration pipelines. You will work closely with Assembly Test and Launch Operations (ATLO), Manufacturing, and Systems Engineering teams to architect, build, and support test applications that ensure mission success.

Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and maintain LabVIEW applications for EGSE and HIL systems
- Architect scalable software solutions for real-time test and validation of embedded systems
- Develop robust, maintainable, and well-documented code following modern software engineering principles
- Interface with NI hardware including PXI, cRIO, DAQ, and related instrumentation
- Integrate software with TestStand for sequencing and automation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (ATLO, Systems, Manufacturing) to define software requirements and test strategies
- Troubleshoot and support deployed test systems in production and environmental test labs
- Contribute to DevOps pipelines for version control, test automation, and deployment (GitLab CI/CD)
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team-wide best practices and coding standards
- Own full lifecycle of software projects from architecture to deployment
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline
- Professional experience developing LabVIEW applications (not just coursework or exposure)
- Solid understanding of instrumentation, test systems, and data acquisition
- Strong debugging, integration, and troubleshooting skills in a hardware-in-the-loop environment
- Familiarity with Git, issue tracking, and structured software development processes
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional LabVIEW development experience
- Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or higher
- Experience with NI TestStand
- Experience with EGSE or test automation in aerospace or defense
- Experience with CI/CD tools, containers, or virtual machines
- Knowledge of NASA or MIL-STD environmental test protocols
- Active TS/SCI clearance

Summary Pay-Range
- Level 2: $85,850 - $126,250
- Level 3: $104,550 - $153,750
