Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated interns to join our world-class team for the summer of 2025 and help create the future of affordable, high-reliability space systems. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated practical problem-solving experience in their hobbies, academic projects, and/or previous internships.

The Intern will be will be participating in the Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) team to design support equipment for our spacecraft. Typical MGSE designs include: environmental testing plates, rotation fixtures, lifting equipment, support stands, transportation fixtures, protective cases, etc. The intern will work with a lead MGSE engineer to successfully design equipment for across several Satellite programs. They will work with other subsystems to understand requirements for the desired mechanical design and work to stay on schedule and within budget.

Responsibilities

Support full time engineers in their MGSE design efforts, including:
Conceptualizing practical solutions to complicated assembly, integration or test problems.
Utilizing Solidworks CAD Modeling & Drafting to complete designs such as: Environmental testing plates, support stands, protective covers & EGSE Rack interface plates
Providing support for 3D printing requests
Demonstrating a knowledge of applicable material and specifications
Supporting floor operations through tests, integration, and hardware moves.
Coordinating with teammates and subsystems on schedules, risks, budgets and challenges
Following standards for good practices in designing and executing

Minimum Qualifications

1 year of schooling at an accredited university for a Mechanical engineering degree
Computer animated design and drafting experience or coursework is necessary
Design, testing, and troubleshooting capabilities
Must be versatile and able to perform and manage multiple tasks concurrently
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Summary Pay-Range

$20.67/hr - $48.08/hr
