Job Summary
We are seeking highly motivated interns to join our world-class team for the summer of 2025 and help create the future of affordable, high-reliability space systems. We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated practical problem-solving experience in their hobbies, academic projects, and/or previous internships.
The Production Engineering Intern directly supports our Manufacturing Engineers in developing, qualifying, and implementing manufacturing processes and procedures to the build, test and launch of satellites, related subsystems, and components.

Responsibilities
- Aids in the development of manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors, as directed by Mentor and Management alike
- Reviews designs for manufacturability and production scalability
- Generates proposals for improvements for manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout, using a data driven approach
- Assures product and process quality by aiding in the designing of testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; confirming manufacturing processes
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
- Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Executes tasks and identifies opportunities for improvement to transition hardware build from low-rate initial production to higher rate production.
Minimum Qualifications
- Junior or Senior in an Engineering Discipline from an ABET Accredited University.
- Desire or passion for Manufacturing and Production
- GPA >3.0
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals and policies and recommend changes to procedures.
- Familiarity with manufacturing engineering principles and concepts
- Must have technical problem-solving skills.
- Hands on experience is a plus!
Summary Pay-Range
- $20.67/hr - $48.08/hr
