Job Summary
As a Cyber Security Analyst at Millennium Space Systems, you ensure that the unclassified and controlled systems that Millennium is responsible for, comply with all corporate defined security requirements and applicable federal regulations.
This position's internal job code is Cyber Sec Assessment Spec. Our team is currently hiring for Level 1-2.
Responsibilities
- Performs daily and weekly audits and scans using SIEM, Vulnerability Scanners, Antivirus software, IDS/IPS, Nmap, Wireshark and other similar applications
- Create and maintain documentation such as Risk Assessment Reviews, Disaster recovery plans, Standard Operating Procedures
- Assess and Implement NIST Risk Management Framework, Cybersecurity Framework, and 800-171 on corporate network
- Work with Information Technology to monitor daily activities on network. Create weekly reports and brief head of Information Security
- Create, modify, and upgrade SIEM alerts and dashboards
- Create, modify, and upgrade Vulnerability Management scans/reports
- Liaison for all corporate Information Security matters. Strong interpersonal skills desired
- Participate in or lead planning and executing risk management activities such as disaster recovery, continuity of operations, and incident response
- Provide administrative support for security policy development and maintenance
Minimum Qualifications
- 8570/8140 IAM Certification: Security+ or equivalent level certification
- 1-2 years of experience of SOC, Information Security Analyst, or equivalent academic experience
- Strong work ethic and ability to learn complex SOC concepts
- Experience in Linux and Windows integrated environments
- Incident response experience, or related academic knowledge
- Familiarity with SIEM, NIDS/NIPS, vulnerability scanning, centrally managed endpoint protection, and network threat hunting
- Working knowledge of NIST 800-171 or related cybersecurity frameworks
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to translate highly technical concepts to non-technical individuals
Preferred Qualifications
- 8570/8140 IAM Certifications such as Security+ or higher
- A.S or B.S in computer science, computer engineering, cyber security, or related discipline
- Familiarity with SIEMs, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners, DLP solutions, and antivirus software
- Experience in digital forensics
- Familiarity with CMMC
- Familiarity with cybersecurity investigations
Summary Pay-Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Level 1: $35.96/hr - $52.88/hr
- Level 2: $42.91/hr - $63.10/hr
