Job Summary
The Inventory Manager will be responsible for maintaining an adequate inventory management system, and ensure the related key performance indicators, systems, processes and tools meet or exceed inventory accuracy and control standards. As a manager, duties will also include coaching & mentoring team members (ensuring new hires and employees complete required training), maintaining department coverage and conducting department meetings to communicate department goals, objectives, and priorities. The Inventory Manager will ensure daily tasks are performed, and all inventory & work order requests are completed in accordance with the service level agreement.
The Inventory team works within JIRA and ensures parts are handled & protected accordingly within company specification as well as ensures materials are properly stored in all inventory locations.
This position's internal job code is Supply Chain Mgmt Analyst. Our team is currently hiring for a level K.
Responsibilities
- Managing inventory by stocking and cataloging products for a business
- Performing quality checks on stored inventory and discarding inventory that does not meet the company’s standards or objectives
- Updating inventory count and maintaining inventory records
- Reporting discrepancies in inventory that indicate poor management, or levels
- Implement loss prevention initiatives
- Designing and implementing an inventory tracking system for optimized inventory control procedures
- Examine Inventory levels of raw materials and supplies to determine shortages
- Document daily inbound replenishment inventory for accuracy
- Create detailed reports for adjustments, inventory operations and stock levels
- Evaluating new inventory, ensuring it’s ready to kit
- Analyze various inventory reports for actions
- Develop Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and Service Level Agreements (SLA)
- Adhering to union contract details while effectively leading team members
Minimum Qualifications

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required.
- Cost Point, or other ERP/MRP inventory management systems ls
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint
- 5-7 Years Inventory management experience
- 5-7 Years Material management experience
- Excellent Communication Skills
- Strong Organizational Skills
- BS/BA in a related field or discipline
Preferred Qualifications
- 3-5 Years with Leadership Experience
- APICS or CPIM certificate or certification
- 3-5 Inventory Management Experience
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing Method
Physical Demands of the Work Environment
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
Summary Pay-Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Level K: $107,100-$157,500
