Job Summary
Reporting to the VP of Manufacturing, the Manufacturing, Chief of Staff will be responsible for supporting Millennium Space Systems’ Manufacturing Team with an emphasis on staff analysis, planning, and organizational improvements. This role will identify Manufacturing staffing needs through proven forecasting methodologies, support hiring managers with crafting and defining role requirements, and develop robust hiring strategies. This role will collaborate closely with our HR recruiting partners to develop efficient hiring processes and bring the best talent to Millennium Space Systems.
The Business Operations Specialist will influence Manufacturing efficiency by implementing new systems and strategies across the organization and supporting meeting planning and execution. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a high performing Manufacturing team and have a direct impact on the success of our organization.
This position's internal job code is Program Management Spec. Our team is currently hiring for level 5.
Responsibilities
- Forecasts future headcount for the Manufacturing Team and identifies critical requisitions to meet business objectives
- Refines the scope of Manufacturing roles to align with forecasting; partners with hiring managers to develop job descriptions and role requirements
- Evaluates strategic organizational issues and identifies implementation recommendations
- Analyzes and summarizes data used in the development and proposal of organizational direction (e.g., budget information, workforce levels, training requirements and equipment/facility needs
- Leads the development, planning and execution of employee-related activities and initiatives
- Develops executive level briefing's
- Leads the design, logistics and facilitation of large meetings/events; provides continuous assessment of overall meeting/review architectures the development and maintenance of the production schedule and budget; monitors and tracks execution of the plan and communicates status
- Collaborates with subject matter experts, suppliers, partners and customers to deploy broad organizational training
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in engineering, business, or related field
- 5+ years experience leading complex hiring initiatives, staffing forecasting, and/or organizational planning, including 2+ years in an engineering environment
- 5+ years experience in data analysis and reporting to support strategic decision making
- 2+ years designing and facilitating large meetings, events, and/or employee related activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience in the aerospace industry
- 7+ years experience with engineering staff forecasting, recruiting, hiring, and/or organizational planning
- Highly organized; strong ability to create efficiencies and effectively manage competing priorities
- Thrives in a high-growth environment and adapts to evolving business needs
Summary Pay-Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations
- Level 5: $146,200 - $212,500
