Job Summary
You will cover spacecraft production, integration and test on second shift as representative of design engineering team across range of programs and projects. Your primary task will be dispositioning and root causing non conformances and issues as they come up, secondary tasking will be design based leveraging your experience with the integration and test. You will work closely with technicians, integration and test engineers as well as the design engineering team to foster a deep understanding of spacecraft design and subsystems, sharpening your skills and being a technical expert in your field.
This position requires the ability to work second shift (3:30pm - 1:00am).
This position’s internal job code is Elect Design and Analysis. Our team is currently hiring for the Levels 3-4.
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis for non conformances in system level functional and environmental testing
- Disposition non conformances, design tests and design changes to meet design requirements
- Review and approve production work instructions
- Perform spacecraft Electrical Power subsystem EPS design and analysis at the spacecraft level, including interfaces with other subsystems
- Support battery, solar array, and electronics design
- Brief design and analysis materials to program managers, customers, and/or sponsors
- Support system level functional and environmental testing
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in electrical, computer, or other relevant engineering discipline
- 5 or more years experience in the design, development, analysis, implementation, testing, and/or operation of spacecraft power systems
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with high-reliability automotive or aerospace electronics
- Experience with mitigation of space radiation effects on microelectronics
- Experience in MATLAB
- Experience with hardware design tools such as Altium, EAGLE, OrCad, Allegro, DxDesigner, or PADS
- History of working independently to root cause discrepancies during spacecraft integration and test
Summary Pay-Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Level 3: $104,550 - $153,750
- Level 4: $126,650 - $186,250
