Job Summary
You will cover spacecraft production, integration and test on second shift as representative of design engineering team across range of programs and projects. Your primary task will be dispositioning and root causing non conformances and issues as they come up, secondary tasking will be design based leveraging your experience with the integration and test. You will work closely with technicians, integration and test engineers as well as the design engineering team to foster a deep understanding of spacecraft design and subsystems, sharpening your skills and being a technical expert in your field.
This position requires the ability to work second shift (3:30pm - 1:00am).
This position’s internal job code is Elect Design and Analysis Engr. Our team is currently hiring for the Levels 3-4.
Responsibilities
- Perform root cause analysis for non conformances in system level functional and environmental testing
- Disposition non conformances, design tests and design changes to meet design requirements
- Review and approve production work instructions
- Design and develop EGSE racks and test equipment to interface with spacecraft avionics and subsystems.
- Select, integrate, and configure COTS test instrumentation, power supplies, signal conditioning, and switching hardware.
- Develop system schematics, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents (ICDs).
- Provide ongoing technical support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for EGSE deployed in integration and test environments.
- Ensure EGSE designs meet applicable standards for electrical safety, grounding, and EMI/EMC compliance.
- Generate and maintain technical documentation and configuration records.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to manage multiple technical tasks concurrently and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field—or equivalent practical experience.
- Demonstrated experience in hardware/system integration, test equipment design, and electrical rack layout.
- Familiarity with common test instrumentation (oscilloscopes, power meters, DMMs, etc.).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a methodical approach to testing and diagnostics.
- Typically 5+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 3+ years with a Master’s degree
- Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance.
- Certified LabVIEW Developer (CLD) or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience supporting spacecraft or high-reliability hardware test campaigns.
- Experience with National Instruments hardware (PXI, cDAQ).
- Experience with TestStand or automated test sequencing frameworks.
- Exposure to MBSE practices and tools is a plus.
- Familiarity with MIL-STD and NASA test requirements and practices.
- Understanding of EGSE lifecycle from early design through launch operations.
- Working knowledge of LabVIEW, Python, or other control software used in test environments
- History of working independently to root cause discrepancies during spacecraft integration and test
Summary Pay-Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Level 3: $104,550 - $153,750
- Level 4: $126,650 - $186,250
