Job Summary
As an Avionics & Harness Technician B, you will assist in the fabrication of harnesses and electro-mechanical assemblies by interpreting blueprints, engineering drawings and specifications, and written assembly, integration, and test procedures for spacecraft and ground systems. This role requires the ability to work second shift.
This position's internal job code is Avionics & Harness Technician B. Our team is currently hiring for labor grade 15.
Responsibilities
- Wire harnesses assembly per NASA.STD.8739.4A
- Use of harness related tools such as soldering irons, crimpers, hot tweezers, etc.
- Testing wire harnesses with equipment such as high potential testers, multimeters, force gauges
- Assembly of electrical ground support equipment
- Test equipment setups
- Assists in performing second party verifications and visually inspect harness assemblies to drawings, engineering specifications, and written assembly, integration and test procedures
- Ensure product quality and conformance to specifications
- Document non-conformances and associated rework/repair
- Meets necessary certification as required
- Performs incidental related duties as assigned or required

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Security Clearance Post-Start is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 6 months’ experience as a technician in aerospace or equivalent industry and/or Trade School training
- Demonstrated exceptional attention to detail
- Available to work shifted or alternate work schedule when required
- Experience using hand tools, repairing and troubleshooting electronic components
- Mechanically and mathematically inclined
- Knowledgeable about various computer operating systems and software
- Applicants must pass a soldering and crimping test
Preferred Qualifications
- Certified MSS08014-102-SOP Rev B Harnessing Build Standard Practices and Inspection
- Experience working in 100,000 Class cleanrooms with ESD sensitive components
Summary Pay-Range
Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only of what is reasonably expected to be paid for the position. Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
- Labor Grade 15: $21.92-$32.36
Union
This is an hourly position governed by the Labor Union Carpenters Local 721 Collective Bargaining agreement.
