Infectious Disease Physician - Telehealth
MindCare Solutions is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Infectious Disease Physician to join our dynamic team on a part-time basis. This position focuses on providing medical care to a vulnerable population within a correctional setting. The role involves diagnosing and managing patients with infectious diseases like Hepatitis C and Syphilis. Key duties include performing physical exams, ordering and monitoring lab tests, managing medications, and collaborating with other healthcare providers on comprehensive care plans.
Compensation: $95 - $110 per hour (based upon experience)
Available Shifts: 10 hours weekly - Daytime, Evening & Weekend Shifts Available

Duties/Responsibilities:
- Diagnose, treat and manage a range of infectious diseases within a corrections setting, specifically hepatitis C and syphilis, via telehealth platform
- Conduct physical exams and order diagnostic tests
- Coordinate with other medical staff to ensure continuity of care and accurate documentation.
- Educate patients on the prevention and management of infectious diseases
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records ensuring confidentiality and compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations
- Ensure timely and thorough documentation of all assessments and interventions
Qualifications:
- MD from an accredited university with board certification or eligibility in Infectious Disease or Internal Medicine
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of CA
- Active and unrestricted DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
