Position Overview

A source of consistency, reliability, and expertise within the Project Management Office (PMO), the Project Manager is a project leader and facilitator in all respects.

At Mindgrub, the Project Manager goes above and beyond “on-time, on-budget, and on-scope” to become a true stakeholder in project success. They facilitate day-to-day priorities with energy and confidence. Project Managers deftly know when and how to adjust their communication and management style when relaying direction based on the needs of a multi-disciplinary internal team of strategy, creative, and technology partners. The team’s champion throughout the entire project life cycle.

Responsibilities

  • Projects:
    • Methodology – Highly knowledgeable about Waterfall and Agile practices and is able to execute either (or a blend of the two), with success. Follows proven process and tasking to meet the needs and constraints of projects without compromising quality of output. Contributes new ideas to process innovation and development when appropriate.
    • Awareness, Accountability, Authority – Exhibits a high degree of ownership with demonstrated success in managing numerous projects and priorities concurrently. Provides exceptional leadership while working well under pressure to deliver the highest quality deliverables. Confident in and capable of executing tasking independently.
    • Subject Matter Expertise – Working knowledge and understanding of discovery and development lifecycle in web and mobile application projects. Relationship driven, with an ability to develop, foster and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Department/People:
    • Process – Organized and efficient with project management fundamentals and processes. Learns and understands tools and uses them to drive project success, maximizing profitability and ensuring positive outcomes.
    • Career Learning – Driven to learn, develop new skills and contribute to collective success. Stays current on industry best practices and collaborates across departments to evolve and improve processes. Strives to understand and enjoys working in the technology field. Willing to contribute knowledge and get hands on within technology settings when appropriate.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required
  • 4+ years of project management experience. Agency experience preferred
  • Experience working with accounts of all sizes from small businesses to enterprise level clients
  • Thirst for knowledge and always ready to learn more
  • PMP, CSM, Agile- related certification or equivalent is preferred
  • Experience working on a wide variety of digital projects, including web and mobile
  • Exceptional oral and written communication
  • Strong servant leadership style
  • Proficient in problem-solving and conceptual skills to recommend approaches and methods
  • Detail-oriented
  • Proficient knowledge of waterfall and agile methodologies with the ambition to become certified in agile methodologies
  • Proficient in communicating internally, and externally as needed, translating dev speak to client speak and vice versa
  • Ability to lead well under pressure to deliver the highest quality deliverables
  • Excellent presentation skills and comfortable speaking during internal/client meetings
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
  • Strong ability to oversee project teams and fully independently manage multiple projects
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace and Project Management tools, such as Jira and Confluence.
  • Remote; 40 hrs / wk, 9am - 5pm EST

Compensation

  • $90,000 - $100,000 USD
  • Base compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors including skills, education, certifications, and overall experience for this role
