About the role: 

The Senior Product Analyst role, you will be taking on a leadership position within our data team, driving innovation and setting best practices for product analysis across the organization. This role demands extensive experience, a strategic mindset, and the ability to foster a data-driven culture. As a Senior Product Analyst, you will demonstrate mastery in extracting complex data, providing innovative solutions, and championing advanced analytical tools. Your contributions will be pivotal in driving strategic decisions, cultivating strong ties with various departments, and mentoring the next generation of data professionals.

Responsibilities: 

Data Extraction, Exploration, and Analysis:

  • Efficiently extract data from various sources, confirming its accuracy and pertinence for further analysis or reporting
  • Able to ensure data accuracy via data quality checks to maintain and ensure product analytics accuracy on daily operations
  • Unearth actionable insights from data, steering optimised business strategies and operations

Reporting and Visualisation:

  • Craft clear and engaging reports, facilitating stakeholders in quick comprehension of essential insights
  • Pioneering data presentation, harnessing interactive visualisation tools for comprehensive data dives

Communication of Findings:

  • Decipher complex data findings into lucid, actionable directives for both tech-savvy and generalist audiences
  • Seamlessly merge data findings with business strategy, guaranteeing that insights translate to tangible action

Collaboration and Support:

  • Cultivate deep-rooted ties with varied departments, nurturing an integrated, data-driven perspective in business problem-solving.
  • Proactively unearth and resolve organisational data needs, setting the data function as a pivotal business accomplice.

Tools and Infrastructure:

  • Ensure the analytical framework is primed for swift, accurate, and scalable inquiries.
  • Champion the introduction and mastery of top-tier analytical tools, fostering an ever-improving self-service platform.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Advocate for unyielding clarity and repeatability by diligently cataloging methodologies, techniques, and findings.
  • Enhance the company's grasp of data by habitually sharing expertise, revelations, and industry best practices.


Required skills: 

  • Proficiency in SQL and other data extraction tools
  • Mastery in data visualisation tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, or Looker
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on details
  • Effective communication skills, capable of translating complex data findings into understandable and actionable insights
  • Familiarity with statistical methods and data-driven decision-making
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
  • Adaptability to rapidly changing business environments and demands


Experience: 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a data analytics role
  • Demonstrated experience in product, customer, and engagement data analysis
  • Proven track record of delivering impactful insights that drive business decisions
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and growth
  • History of working with large data sets and complex data structures
  • Previous exposure to EdTech or online platforms is a plus.
