Mineralys Therapeutics is a publicly traded, clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing medicines to target diseases driven by abnormally elevated aldosterone. Our initial product candidate, lorundrostat, is a proprietary, orally administered, highly selective aldosterone synthase inhibitor that we are developing for cardiorenal conditions affected by abnormally elevated aldosterone, including hypertension and chronic kidney disease.

Director, Medical Affairs
Reporting to the Vice President, Medical Affairs, the Director, Medical Affairs will identify and integrate the unmet needs and perspectives of healthcare providers, payers, patients, and caregivers into Medical Affairs strategies. You will be responsible for driving the development and monitoring the overall tactical execution of key medical plans across Mineralys’s portfolio. You will foster cross-functional collaboration internally as well as develop and foster relationships with external healthcare practitioners and decision-makers.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development and standardization of key Medical Affairs policies, processes, and internal guidance documents.
- Lead annual medical planning across Mineralys’s portfolio; work closely across Medical Affairs functions to develop and monitor execution of overall medical strategy and Medical Affairs tactical plans.
- Provide therapeutic area expertise, medical support, and scientific insights to inform and align cross-functional strategic plans, as appropriate.
- Coordinate and monitor execution of comprehensive scientific evidence generation initiatives, ensuring alignment to overall medical strategy.
- Lead the planning and execution of an investigator initiated studies program, within appropriate standards for compliance, quality, timeliness, and budget.
- Serve as medical reviewer and expert on promotional and medical review committees
- Ensure that the content of Medical Symposia Congress presentations is accurate, strategically focused, and compliant.
- Serve as a scientific and medical expert, engaging with and establishing strong relationships with external stakeholders.
- Engage with advocacy groups and develop advocacy engagement and sponsorship strategy.
- Lead and participate in advisory boards, symposia, and scientific conferences to gather insights, disseminate clinical data, and enhance awareness of Mineralys’s portfolio.
- Develop annual Medical Affairs Strategy plan and aligned budget; monitor and manage the assigned budget and relationships with vendors to deliver projects in alignment with timelines and defined objectives.

Qualifications:
- Advanced, medical / scientific doctoral level degree required: MD, PharmD, PhD.
- 7+ years of experience in the Pharmaceutical or Biotech Industry with Medical Affairs
- Global product launch experience.
- The ability to work independently and lead collaboratively across various internal stakeholders and develop trusted partnerships
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategically, drive performance, build alignment, inform, negotiate, and collaborate across partnerships
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize projects effectively and communicate at all levels within the company
- Strong written and verbal communication skills (including presentation skills)
- Ability to articulate complex scientific and medical information in understandable business terms.
- Up to 20% domestic travel
