Mineralys Therapeutics is a publicly traded, clinical-stage biotechnology company focused on developing medicines to target diseases driven by abnormally elevated aldosterone. Our initial product candidate, lorundrostat, is a proprietary, orally administered, highly selective aldosterone synthase inhibitor that we are developing for cardiorenal conditions affected by abnormally elevated aldosterone, including hypertension and chronic kidney disease.

About the Role
Reporting to the Senior Director, Medical Affairs, the Director of Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) will lead the development and execution of evidence strategies that support the clinical and economic value of our innovative therapy. This high-impact role will shape the value proposition for payers, providers, and patients as we advance toward the commercialization of lorundrostat.
As a key member of the Medical Affairs team, the Director will be responsible for designing and delivering real-world evidence (RWE), economic modeling, and outcomes research that informs market access and pricing decisions in the U.S. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment and is passionate about improving patient care through data-driven insights.
Key Responsibilities
Evidence Generation
- Oversee data analysis and contribute to research reports for internal and external consumption.
- Collaborate with the Medical Value and Outcomes team to ensure alignment with customer needs.
- Partner cross-functionally with Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Market Value & Access and Commercial teams to align with data needs.
- Design and manage RWE and HEOR studies (e.g., cost-effectiveness analysis, burden of illness, treatment patterns, claims/EMR analysis, and patient-reported outcomes).
- Manage external research vendors, academic collaborators, and data sources to execute HEOR and RWE initiatives.
Value and Access
- Lead the development and execution of the HEOR strategy to support product differentiation, access, and reimbursement.
- Collaborate with Market Access to develop a compelling value proposition.
- Lead or support payer advisory boards, KOL engagements, and HEOR expert panels to gather insights that shape research priorities and data communication strategies.
- Monitor the competitive landscape for HEOR data, models, and payer strategies; provide insights to inform product positioning.
- Stay current on evolving payer requirements, HTA frameworks, and healthcare policy developments.
Communications and Publications
- Develop pre-approval information exchange resources, AMCP dossiers, payer communication tools (e.g., value decks), and health economic models (e.g., budget impact models).
- Lead publication planning and execution of HEOR deliverables in peer-reviewed journals and scientific congresses.
Ensure all HEOR activities adhere to internal SOPs, regulatory standards, and ethical guidelines for RWD and economic modeling.
Qualifications
- Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, MPH, or similar) in health economics, epidemiology, outcomes research, public health, or related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 years of U.S. industry experience in HEOR, RWE, or Market Access within U.S. pharmaceutical, biotech, or healthcare consulting settings.
- Proven experience supporting U.S. product launches and generating value evidence for payers and/or HTA submissions.
- Deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare system, payer landscape, and value assessment frameworks; global experience is a plus.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills within matrixed environments.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking capabilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, compelling value narratives.
- High level of professional judgment, integrity, and attention to detail.
Must be located within driving distance of a major international airport; approx. 25% travel.
These positions are eligible for standard Company benefits including medical, dental, vision, time off and 401K, as well as participating in Mineralys incentive plans are contingent on achievement of personal and company performance. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
US Salary Range: $190,000 - $230,000
