About the Role

As a Regional Sales Director, you will play a pivotal role in achieving Minitab’s US and global growth objectives. Leading from the front, you will drive both product and service revenue by recruiting, coaching, and managing a regional enterprise sales team targeting organizations with over $1B in global revenue. You will develop and execute strategic plans that deliver short- and long-term success, while fostering collaboration with marketing, customer success, and engineering teams.

This multifaceted role requires a hands-on approach, engaging in complex enterprise sales opportunities, cultivating executive relationships with customers, and demonstrating excellence in value-based selling. You will lead with a clear vision and ensure your team executes Minitab’s Customer Engagement Lifecycle processes to drive exceptional customer satisfaction and measurable outcomes.


Key Responsibilities

  • Revenue Growth: Achieve regional revenue targets for software and services sales; build and sustain a robust pipeline to ensure continuous future growth.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and execute a regional strategy and OKRs (Objectives & Key Results) to meet short- and long-term goals.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and retain top-performing sales professionals; provide coaching to drive individual and team success.
  • Customer Engagement: Actively participate in larger, more complex sales opportunities; strengthen executive relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, alliances, customer success, and engineering teams to align efforts and maximize outcomes.
  • Operational Excellence: Ensure accurate CRM documentation, pipeline management, and forecasting; mentor your team in leveraging CRM tools effectively.
  • Customer Success: Drive exceptional customer satisfaction by fostering collaboration between sales and customer success teams before and after the sale.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Leadership Expertise: 10+ years of proven solution-selling experience in the software industry, including 5+ years managing enterprise sales teams.
  • Enterprise Sales: Experience working with organizations with over $1B global revenues, selling both cloud and on-premise solutions with recurring revenue models.
  • Team Management: Demonstrated success in recruiting, motivating, and managing distributed sales teams.
  • Sales Acumen: Proven track record of exceeding quotas, driving revenue, and leveraging value-based selling principles.
  • Collaboration: Strong ability to align cross-functional teams, including pre-sales, marketing, customer success, and finance.
  • Technical Proficiency: Experience with CRM systems and analytics or applications software preferred.
  • Travel Flexibility: Ability to travel up to 50-75% within the region and domestically as required.

Position is available for remote employment in the following states:

PA (If 50 miles or more from State College), FL, NY, NJ, CT, GA, OH, NC

50-70% Travel in Region to customers and to CHQ office as needed

Base salary: $175K.
