You’ll play a critical role in ensuring our platform delivers a seamless and engaging experience for Christian families worldwide
Position Overview
In this contract role as the Video Operations Manager, you will oversee the end-to-end process of onboarding, preparing, and deploying licensed and original content. You’ll be the central point of coordination between our content distributors, creative, marketing, and product teams, ensuring content meets our high standards and resonates with our audience.
This is a technical and operational role where your skills in organization, quality control, and workflow management will directly contribute to delivering meaningful stories to families every day. Key Responsibilities:
Content Delivery & Preparation:
- Act as the liaison between Minno and content distributors to coordinate the delivery of licensed and original content.
- Perform detailed quality control checks on video files, ensuring compliance with Minno’s technical and content quality standards.
- Manage captioning workflows, including coordinating with third-party vendors and verifying accuracy upon delivery.
- Maintain and organize a comprehensive content database and cloud archive, including artwork, captions, and video files.
- Implement file naming conventions, administer user access, and establish tools to maintain file organization and integrity.
- Upload video files and input metadata into the Video Management System (VMS) for timely and error-free launches.
- Collaborate with the creative team to create engaging “product suites” with thumbnails, logos, backgrounds, and other assets.
- Respond promptly to interdepartmental asset requests, ensuring seamless collaboration across teams.
SVOD Merchandising Management & Scheduling:
- Oversee the content launch calendar in coordination with the Chief Content Officer and marketing team.
- Curate and update SVOD homepage ribbons and playlists to support marketing campaigns and member engagement.
- Schedule and rotate featured content weekly, ensuring the platform feels fresh and dynamic.
- Update Minno’s website and apps with current series information, upcoming releases, and featured content.
Content Performance Monitoring:
- Monitor and analyze content performance, providing insights for licensing renewals, board meetings, and retrospectives.
- Maintain a record of licensing costs and calculate cost-per-viewed-minute (CPVM) for strategic decision-making.
- Track performance metrics by age group, viewing time, and device to optimize merchandising and inform future acquisitions.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2–3 years in video operations, content distribution, or digital asset management within a media, entertainment, or streaming environment.
- Familiarity with SVOD platforms, content management systems (CMS), and end-to-end video delivery workflows.
- Understanding of video codecs, formats (e.g., MP4, MOV), captioning standards, and metadata management.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro).
- Experience with tools like MediaKind CMS, JWPlayer, Signiant Media Shuttle, Amazon S3, or similar technologies is a plus.
- Strong understanding of content lifecycle management and digital file organization.
