MINT MOBILE is seeking a talented Account Executive to join the Sales Team! Individual reports to Regional Sales Director.

This role is on the field and remote commuting within the Houston area. Must be local in the Houston area as the position requires field visits and commuting within this territory daily/weekly. 

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position is primarily responsible for driving the sales performance and related metrics of the associated territory in order to maximize company revenue across the indirect sales channel (both National Retailers and Independent Wireless Retailers in the territory). As an outside sales position—the rep is accountable for all activities contributing to the success of Retail locations under his / her responsibility, including but not limited to sales volume, Retailer inventory levels, training, relationship building, merchandising, small business consulting, and brand advocacy in a retail environment. Through the Rep's efforts in reinforcing “all things Ultra”, the ultimate goal is to grow the customer activation (sales)  and replenishment activities (reorders) of retailers who are: actively selling Ultra Mobile, sufficiently inventoried, properly merchandised, knowledgeable on Ultra Mobile products and services, and selling Ultra and Mint as a primary brand in the store’s portfolio.

Your usual day of awesomeness includes:  

  • Increase customer activations in the assigned territory through
    • Building relationships throughout the territory with Retailers, external partners, internal teams, and distribution partners to help drive the performance of the market(s).
    • Gaining a share of mind with the Retailers through establishing relationships and training. This includes sales techniques, scripting, and portal training (sales system).
    • Side by Side selling in key Retailers.
    • Increasing and improving the visibility for both Ultra and Mint brands in-store through the impactful placement of merchandising materials, display maintenance, and planogram compliance.
  • Promote ongoing replenishment of customers (reorders).
  • Educate, excite, and train sales staff on service offerings, systems, events, contests, incentives, and processes to ensure sales.
  • Maintain and build relationships with store personnel to ensure Ultra/ Mint is the premier brand that is offered in all Retail stores.
  • Improve the Customer/Retailer experience within the retail environments by ensuring the retailer is knowledgeable of the plans and efficient with the Sales Portal.
  • Resolve Customer and Retailer issues by taking ownership of the issue and accelerating up through Sales Ops support. Including follow-up.
  • Instill a strong belief in the Ultra/ Mint Mobile brand.
  • Report daily activity, store-level conditions, trends, and competitive data.
  • Provide feedback on Retailer and consumer interactions and maintain an expert level of product knowledge for all Ultra/Mint products and services.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a business plan for the designated region, driving measurable results for stores.
  • Conduct store visits and phone calls within the assigned territory.
  • Continue to expand sales by establishing and maintaining Retailer contacts and through potential new Retailer leads that they see while out in the field or by getting referrals from existing Retailers.
  • Implement targeted sales promotions/ contests.
  • When applicable—meet or exceed assigned targets related to company metrics such as Net Ads (sales).
  • Some overnight travel is required; frequency depends on region/territory.
  • Travel by airplane may be required.  

WHAT YOU BRING

  • High School Diploma. 
  • 2-5 years of wireless retail sales or training experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. Open to additional languages: Mandarin, Urdu, Arabic.
  • Any combination of education and experience. 
  • Highly self-motivated and independent team player.
  • Prior success in meeting performance goals and requirements ( prepaid wireless industry experience preferred).
  • Ability to take initiative and problem-solve.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to coordinate and direct projects.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Must reside in a centrally-located area close to the assigned territory.
  • Ability to work non-traditional hours to participate in evening and weekend events.
  • The ability to speak multiple languages is a plus. 
  • A valid driver’s license and 24-hour access to a vehicle is required.
