MIO Partners is a global leader in asset management and strategic investment advisory for an international clientele. Our Client Service Team plays a central role: we ensure an outstanding client experience for our investors – an exclusive group of current and former McKinsey partners and their immediate family members. In this role, you will work closely with our international Client Service and Advisory teams across various locations and be involved in interdisciplinary projects within MIO.

Our Munich team is a diverse and dedicated group of ten colleagues. We bring together expertise from client service, advisory, compliance, finance, and administrative support, and work closely with our international teams in Madrid, London, Singapore, New York, and Atlanta.

Our office is centrally located in Munich, just steps away from Odeonsplatz. The nearby English Garden – only a five-minute walk – offers the perfect spot for a relaxing lunch break or a refreshing walk.

Position

We are looking for a highly motivated Client Service Specialist (CSS) to join our team in Munich and support our global operations. This is a client-facing role within Investor Relations, serving our global client base. In addition, the role includes operational support and administration of our internal investment products as well as tasks in project management.


Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Investment Process and General Investor Relations

The Client Service Specialist (m/f/d) shares responsibility for administering the investment process of our hedge funds and private equity funds and serves as a direct point of contact for our investors and external partners. Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing subscription documentation and assisting with the completion of required forms

  • Collaborating with the Advisory team and MIO Compliance to ensure regulatory requirements and AML/KYC standards are met

  • Coordinating between clients, administrators, and MIO Compliance, as well as maintaining the internal client database

  • Working with MIO Finance and external partners to efficiently process client transactions

  • Responding to investor inquiries about portfolio status, transactions, fund performance, and other investment-related data

Operational Investment & Project Management

The Client Service Specialist (m/f/d) supports the team in the operational management and investment process of our products (“feeders”) outside the U.S., as well as in internal project management. This includes:

  • Assisting with asset allocation and cash management for a securitization vehicle in Luxembourg and several insurance vehicles

  • Supporting the transaction and order process with custodians and product issuers

  • Assisting in the NAV calculation of our products

  • Working with MIO Finance and external partners on transaction and balance reconciliation

  • Collaborating with the IT team on enhancing our internal applications

  • Preparing analyses (in Excel) and reports (in PowerPoint) for internal reporting and external audits


Requirements

  • At least 3–5 years of professional experience in client service or investor relations within banking or a similar client-facing field

  • Strong project management skills

  • Bachelor's degree or vocational training in finance, banking, or accounting

  • Advanced computer skills, especially Microsoft Excel, are essential for this role

  • Basic understanding and strong interest in numbers, investments, and financial markets

  • Intellectual curiosity and enthusiasm for finance, combined with a passion for client interaction

  • Fluent in German and English (spoken and written); additional languages are a plus
