
Financial Analyst

Position
MIO’s Finance team is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the Corporate Accounting team and the Director of Strategic Initiatives in the areas of compensation, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. The new hire is expected to report to our offices in Midtown, New York, 2 days/week.
Primary responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for MIO’s corporate entities in the US and overseas and the analysis of these financials
- Generate necessary reports from MIO’s internal timesheet tracking tool to drive the cost allocation methodology for budgets/forecasts
- Help manage the IT cost forecasting model and coordinate with IT team leaders to capture key inputs for this model
- Assist in managing the compensation benchmark data sets
- Assist in the building of the annual compensation model for compensation budgeting/forecasting purposes and prepare compensation analyses
- Prepare monthly headcount reports for senior management
- Assist in producing reporting and presentations for senior leadership and MIO’s Board of Directors
- Provide analysis in support of ad hoc projects
Desired background
- Undergraduate degree in finance or accounting from an accredited university
- 2+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting or finance analytics at a financial services firm preferred
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
- Highly organized and detail-oriented with an ability to prioritize work independently
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Collaborative team player
- Mature individual able to manage highly confidential data
Certain US states require MIO Partners, Inc. to include a reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role. Actual salaries may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to an individual’s assigned office location, experience, and expertise. Certain roles are also eligible for bonuses, subject to MIO’s discretion and based on factors such as individual and/or organizational performance. Base salary range
$95,000 - $95,000 USD
