Role: Sales Strategist

Location: New York City or Chicago 

THE OPPORTUNITY 

The Sales Strategy team at MiQ partners directly with our Sales team to build out  programmatic advertising campaign proposals and ultimately help to drive  revenue. The role calls for a motivated and outgoing self-starter who takes a  proactive approach to their work and is always looking out for the best interest of  their clients.  

Sales Strategists become experts on MiQ’s omnichannel advertising products in order to make informed strategic recommendations to help our clients reach their  campaign objectives. This role provides a growth opportunity to learn about various  facets of the advertising industry including CTV, YouTube, DOOH, OLV, mobile ads,  social ads, and new innovative formats.  

This role is an essential piece of the MiQ team structure with a high level of cross functional project management involved. The Sales Strategy team communicates with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure we are on task and meeting  the needs of our clients and partners.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING  

As a Sales strategist at MiQ, technical ability and industry knowledge play a large  role in your day-to-day responsibilities. In this role you will be accountable for, but not  limited to, the following:  

 

Delivery  

○ Craft and deliver accurate and thorough proposals within the RFP  deadline. Build media plans in Excel and corresponding proposal  materials in PowerPoint or Google Slides.  

Project Management 

○ Project manage RFPs that are being requested for their regions. ○ Stay focused and contribute to projects. Organize stakeholders  and multiple milestones

Internal Collaboration & Communication  

○ Partner with Sales Strategy, Sales, Solutions, Account Management, Product, and Trading teams effectively.  

○ Crisp and clear communication to external partners/clients or internal  stakeholders; flexing communication style to persuade others and  influence positive outcomes 

○ Create high-quality PPT deliverables that successfully showcase  product expertise and strategic storytelling. 

Innovation  

○ Strategize with Sales Leads in pre-sale periods to grow and develop  existing client business and win net new business 

○ Master MiQ product capabilities and stay on the latest industry trends  to inform internal and external teams 

○ Act with curiosity. Find new and better ways of working, then apply or  implement solutions to unarticulated needs, new or existing market  requirements. Open to receiving and trying new ideas, processes or  ways of working. 

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 2 years of advertising technology and/or media planning  experience 
  • Experience with Programmatic Advertising is preferred. 
  • Adept understanding of the advertising industry at large and ability to convey  that knowledge to others
  • Sound understanding of the digital programmatic ecosystem and the vendor agency-advertiser dynamic 
  • Involvement in a high energy work environment with the ability to deliver on  tight deadlines.  
  • Competitive ‘winning’ mentality 
  • Proven ability to improve internal processes and share knowledge across  internal/external stakeholders

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal/external team  members

Pay Transparency
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, MiQ is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This compensation range is specific to New York and takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. At MiQ, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this position is $70,000-$85,000. This range may vary for positions outside of New York as it has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled and does not take into account our bonus and commission structures.

Regardless of location, candidates can expect during the first few conversations with MiQ’s Talent team and Hiring Managers to share any approved budget and details on our competitive bonus and commission packages.
