Position Summary
This is an opportunity to join a fast-growing, global business and play a critical role in building, stabilizing, and scaling accounting operations across LATAM.
As Accounting Manager, you will partner closely with the LATAM Head of Finance and global finance teams, with direct exposure to senior leadership, ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong financial controls, and consistency across a complex, multi-entity environment.
The role operates within a hybrid model of in-house accounting and outsourced providers, requiring strong oversight, coordination, and accountability to ensure high-quality and reliable outputs across all markets.
You will be responsible for bringing structure and discipline to a rapidly evolving regional setup, supporting both organic growth and M&A integration, and ensuring that accounting processes are scalable, compliant, and aligned with group standards.
This role offers the opportunity to build and shape the LATAM accounting function, drive process improvements, and support the continued expansion of the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Own accounting operations across LATAM entities, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and control across all markets
- Lead and coordinate the month-end close process, ensuring timely and high-quality financial reporting
- Review key accounting areas including accruals, prepayments, revenue recognition, cost recognition, and balance sheet accounts
- Strengthen balance sheet integrity through robust reconciliations and control frameworks
- Manage a hybrid accounting model, overseeing both in-house teams and external accounting providers
- Hold outsourced providers accountable for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of deliverables
- Standardize accounting processes, reporting structures, and close timelines across the region
- Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations, ensuring proper coordination across entities and alignment with group policies
- Ensure compliance with local statutory and regulatory requirements, working closely with external advisors
- Support new entity setups and M&A integration, implementing consistent accounting processes from day one
- Partner with FP&A, Treasury, and central finance teams to ensure alignment across reporting, cash, and operational activities
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, scalability, and control
- Act as the key point of contact for all accounting matters across LATAM, providing clarity, structure, and problem-solving
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5–7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Experience in multi-entity, international environments (LATAM experience strongly preferred)
- Experience managing or working with outsourced accounting providers
- Experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments is a plus
Skills & Competencies
- Strong foundation in accounting and financial reporting
- Deep experience with month-end close and balance sheet control
- Experience managing multi-country accounting processes
- Strong control mindset with high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency
- Ability to operate effectively in complex and evolving environments
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently and take ownership
- Fluent in English and Spanish (required); Portuguese is a plus
- Strong understanding of cross-functional alignment (FP&A, Treasury, Operations)
