Programmatic Trader Ops
Role: Programmatic Trader Ops
Location: Manila, Philippines (Hybrid)
Reports to: Trader Manager
The opportunity
We’re MiQ, a global programmatic media partner for marketers and agencies. Our people are at the heart of everything we do, so you will be too. No matter the role or the location, we’re all united in the vision to lead the programmatic industry and make it better.
As a Programmatic Trader Ops, you’ll play a critical operational role within the Center of Success (CoS), working cross‑functionally with Traders, Account Managers, Data & Analytics (DnA), Product and Marketing across the JAPAC footprint. You’ll own the trafficking, reporting, discrepancy checks, remnant management and troubleshooting that underpin successful campaign delivery and client growth.
The role is designed for individuals with no prior experience in programmatic trading who want to learn both programmatic and trading, providing a key pathway into programmatic trading and digital media operations. For someone who enjoys working with data, following structured processes, and learning new tools, it offers the opportunity to build skills not only in operations but also in trading, with a potential transition into a trader role over time based on interest and performance.
What you’ll be doing
Your main responsibilities will include:
1. Campaign trafficking & delivery
- Execute accurate, thorough, and timely campaign trafficking across relevant platforms, following agreed SOPs and checklists.
- Manage multiple campaigns and deadlines while maintaining high‑quality output and attention to detail.
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail and timeline discipline so deliverables meet MiQ’s quality standards and partner expectations.
2. Performance reporting & discrepancy management
- Prepare and deliver regular campaign performance reports that are accurate, well‑structured, and useful for internal and external stakeholders.
- Monitor live campaign performance against benchmarks, flagging pacing, delivery, and performance issues early.
- Perform systematic discrepancy checks between ad server, DSP, and client systems, helping to identify root causes and support resolution.
3. Remnant management & optimization support
- Work alongside Supply Manager and utilize proper publisher inventory ensuring it is used effectively in line with trading strategies.
- Support mid‑flight optimization by analyzing performance data and providing clear, structured inputs to Traders and Trading Managers to inform decisions.
4. Troubleshooting & quality assurance
- Troubleshoot delivery, pacing, targeting, creative, and tracking issues, collaborating with Traders, Ad Operations, and other teams as needed.
- Generate and validate tracking pixels for campaign measurement, ensuring accurate implementation before launch.
- Ensure all campaign setups (targeting, budgets, flight dates, creatives, pixels) are correct and ready for launch.
5. Collaboration, continuous learning & improvement
- Work cross‑functionally with Traders, Account Managers, Sales, DnA and other internal stakeholders across regions, building strong relationships and navigating differences to find solutions.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with internal teams, adapting your style to drive positive outcomes.
- Bring curiosity and a continuous‑improvement mindset, contributing ideas that improve efficiency, accuracy, and impact in our operational workflows.
- Build exposure to programmatic trading by supporting basic campaign activation tasks, helping with pre‑ and post‑campaign analysis, and progressing through agreed platform learning paths and certifications (e.g. DV360, The Trade Desk, social platforms) as part of your development plan.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
- Genuine interest in digital media, advertising and/or programmatic, with a desire to learn trading and campaign operations from the ground up.
- High level of organisation and attention to detail; comfortable managing multiple campaigns, tasks, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and numerical comfort; able to work confidently with data in spreadsheets and learn new tools and systems quickly.
- Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to summarise issues and performance succinctly for different audiences.
- A proactive, learning‑oriented mindset – you ask questions, seek feedback, use documentation, and take ownership of your tasks.
- Problem‑solving approach that allows you to logically narrow down potential causes when something looks wrong in data, pacing, or setup.
- Strong alignment with MiQ’s core values and culture, and a desire to contribute to a collaborative, high‑performing team.
- A can‑do attitude that brings energy, drive and enthusiasm to your work.
- A dream to grow your career as the company scales, including progression into a Trader role and taking advantage of learning and mobility opportunities at MiQ.
