We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Associate, Public Affairs & Corporate Communications to support the development and execution of Mirakl’s' integrated communications and public affairs strategy. You will play a key role in crafting compelling corporate narratives, managing external communications, monitoring and influencing policy developments, and building strategic relationships with media, stakeholders, and policymakers. This position ensures that Mirakl is well-positioned both in public discourse and regulatory discussions around retail media, and digital marketplaces.

You’ll be joining a team of 3 professionals leading Mirakl’s communications & policy efforts globally.

What You’ll Do at Mirakl:

  • Policy Monitoring & Communications: Track, analyze, and report on relevant legislation, regulatory developments, and political trends related to advertising, digital media, e-commerce, and retail marketplaces. Transform complex policy insights into clear communications for internal and external audiences.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Media Relations: Support the development of relationships with key stakeholders including policymakers, industry associations, public institutions, journalists, and thought leaders, ensuring Mirakl's interests and brand narrative are effectively represented across all channels.
  • Advocacy & Thought Leadership: Contribute to the preparation of policy papers, reports, presentations, press releases, and thought leadership content to communicate Mirakl's positions on relevant issues to regulators, lawmakers, industry bodies, and the broader public through media channels.
  • Research, Analysis & Content Development: Conduct research on public policy topics and industry trends affecting digital advertising and retail media, providing insights to inform business strategy, policy positioning, and corporate messaging. Develop compelling content for various communication channels.
  • Event Management & Public Representation: Organise events, media briefings, press conferences, and public-facing engagements. Represent Mirakl at industry forums, policy discussions, and trade association.
  • Crisis Communications & Reputation Management: Monitor public sentiment and media coverage related to regulatory and industry issues. Support crisis communication efforts and proactive reputation management initiatives.
  • Internal Coordination & Strategic Communications: Work closely with the Corporate Affairs & Impact team and other departments such as Legal, Communications, Product, and Marketing teams to ensure alignment on public affairs activities and consistent corporate messaging across all touchpoints.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Public Affairs, Political Science, Communications, Law, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of experience in public affairs, government relations, or regulatory affairs, ideally within the advertising, digital media, or e-commerce sectors.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory environments, particularly those related to advertising, media, and e-commerce.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesise complex regulatory issues into clear messaging.
  • Collaborative communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects, and prioritise effectively.
  • Fluency in French and English is required; other languages are a plus.
